yea lock is in a weird spot. like all 3 specs are good atm however this meta is just not it for warlock. our Defensives needs a rework. make unending resolve a 2min cd and make us unccable during Unending resolve and we will be viable
Personally I liked when my main attacks were melee based, cringe rp reasons lol, I picked a melee character if I wanted to play a wizard I’d be playing one but with mages having 23621634264 teleports and locks also now having a bunch, it’s probably a neccesary cancer. I’m not sure how it could be changed back.
lock only had 1 port ever 30secs and gateway 90secs mages has an unlimited amount

Also remember, you can gate out of a spear. It’ll make sure they only kill you outside of their CDs when you finally stop kiting and try to trade damage only to fall horribly behind.
There is a horrible talent that brings it to 2 minute 15 secs but @ 25% dmg reduction.
However, I agree. Locks are feeling a lot squishier now than ever, especially against Ret/War.
FYI Ret can crit 4mil+ with Templar using normal wings and no seething flames, though you would be kind of throwing for not using the new herald buffs and it requires running a talent build to work around the bug for Hammer of Light. Just saying it can be done. Wake of Ashes with Seething Flames and Normal Wings (No radiant glory) is pretty bursty too, and doesn’t require you to switch off herald, though it’s not quite 4 mil. Herald Radiant Glory Crusade is more sustained and harder to shut down, but if you want to burst as ret you can give it a try.
I agree, I don’t know who thought it would be a good idea to add so many ranged attacks to paladins. It doesn’t fit a paladin identity in any other game. People were asking for it as soon as survival got aspect of the eagle as a melee spec, but I don’t think it was the right choice personally. I know people would be big mad to see it go. The game could use some slight pruning, more shared talent nodes so you need to make choices again, and longer CDs on most movement abilities and defensive cds. Crazy how even PVE players are saying the same thing lol. Also the amount of snares that are 50% or higher and easy or automatically applied is wild too. Until some of that changes we probably are stuck with paladins and evokers having nearly the same range lol.

I honestly think there should only be one class that can CC, everyone else should just be punching until death!
ive been playing for over 15 years. its been this way since Legion. and quite frankly right now is the worst ive ever seen it upon returning to world of warcraft this past month.
the amount of times i have watched my team mates die while not being cc’d and me pumping heals into them with full cooldowns up i’ve lost count. the amount of times ive just randomly been 1 shot in a global cooldown in solo shuffle by some ludicrously overtuned melee ive also lost count. it used to happen maybe like once per qeue session but its literally once every few matches. its absurd. either me or a team mate. every time its either a fury warrior or a ret pally or a DH. they have dumbed down the classes to the point where you press 3 buttons and they’ve turne dthe damage up way too high. forget about ccing anyone just press buttons man. that is literally the gameplay loop for the past decade.
they’ve also given every melee the ability to completely lock down a caster making it impossible for them to Kite or Escape and if they miss their kicks theyve given every melee spec 20 stuns they can just use instead to stop you from casting.
At least you can admit how stupid warlocks are with your name. Not to mention throwing 8 chaos bolts randomly in Epic BGs per cast.
as crazy as that sounds lol honestly that may be a good idea. would def be something good to play around with. for example mages/warlocks/sp and maybe rdruid that can cc and leaving boomkins with root and no cyclone. and melee not having any CC maybe 1 stun. would actually be good for the game so it makes classes useful again instead of giving every melee class 2 stuns. that actually don’t sound like a bad idea.
