I have an odd observation… Mop had insane amounts of class utility (druid symbiosis anyone?). Yet I had a blast that expansion… The level of utility now seems insane but less fun.
Not sure what the difference is…

not liking this because I agree with you but the spoon comment was funny
people were 10 times worse at the game back then and didnt get value out of most of their utility.
Yea, it’s weird. It’s why I said most players don’t know what’s going on and honestly, I’d probably include myself in on that. Not that I or we can’t look at someone and see what their abilities are and buffs and what not. But let’s say at the start of the fight you’re contending with every other spec having an immunity of some type. This happened to me the other day on my ele. Literally tab targeting through every target and everyone had either an immunity running or something else. Come out of that and get hit with a searing glare. Basically a solid 7-8 seconds of just waiting for everything to fall off. This direction the game is heading is boring.
And yea, when MoP hit and BM/Arms were insane, oddly enough Mage/S.Priest/Resto was still dominating with Symbiosis. There were just so many cooldowns to have to run through.
reduce the potential
Someone just trying to justify their job
Y’all remember the last great healer shortage? When everyone was like “omg Que times blizz! Fix your game”
Because that’s what will happen if you nerf healers to much.
Healers need to be nerfed.
DPS need to be nerfed.
Every expansion resets the TTK, and every patch ruins it.
The thing that is wild about it is that it is ALL healing. So they made every class squishier not just the priests who are totally out of hand.
I have never understood why we get changes like this at all. Why move 10% randomly every few months instead of 2 percent every 2 weeks to dial it in? Never made sense and always goes to far or in the totally wrong direction.
Small moves Blizzard…small moves.
They’re very heavy handed. It’s all about giving classes a time to shine. Big nerf and ‘ignore’ something busted for a season.
I agree but I think that is all about just getting people to shuffle to stretch content. It’s incentivizing swapping classes to be at the top and forcing you to redo the whole gearing ridiculousness.
I may have already commented somewhere on this, sorry if I repeat myself.
Many players frowned on healers due to healing output, being more difficult to kill than tanks, and subsequently being the best flag carriers in the game. Someone that still plays wow may know now if they are still the best flag carriers in the game after the 10% healing nerf. Worse than fighting one exceptionally durable healer is the reality that often 2 enemy healers are present. While a nerf to enemy healers is a nerf to your own, this ends up being a neutral change, both teams get less healing accomplished. If the nerf was sufficient, a healer will fail to heal themselves enough to survive while carrying an orb/flag/crystal with several players dumping CC, silences, and all that great dps you mentioned. If healers can still do what they were doing before the nerf, the nerf can be increased. Like modifiers to dampening rates, things can be altered to get it in line with the Devs design intent.
