1 server? TURN STARTING ZONE SPAWNS UP X50

You’d understand how ridiculous this post is, if you had played 1 day of original wow between 2004-2010 or 1 hour of private service wow between 2010-2019.

Sadly I didn’t so you’ll have to explain it to me.

The murlocs are hungry.

Oh. Seems a bit of an exaggeration, don’t you think?

I breezed thru gnome area.

But how can they eat when most of them don’t have heads?

The same way wild bears can parry but ferals can’t, the zheveras run you over but have no hooves, and lions chew on our heads but have no teeth.

they should have allowed aoe tagging without being in a party. I took my tiny gnome out of the starting area and ran to the inn to log in a few days later to try to get the starting quests done.

I only made the character to watch people fight over the wolfs and troggs. I am kinda sick and twisted, i like going to the mall on black friday to watch people fight over saving 99 cents

I think it’s mentioned a bunch of times already, but I’ll vote for tagging outside of group as well. Just let everyone who does damage or debuff a mob long enough to actually get stuff for that kill. Hell, go ahead and turn down the XP and even the loot chance for any “non-primary” killer of that mob, but at least allow it. All or nothing is very frustrating and players are just competing with one another over what!? A lvl1 wolf!? Silly design choice from a million years ago and could be revised for the better.

First MMO launch?

It took about a hour longer than it normally does to get out of the valley of trials on nightslayer. All things considered, I don’t think that is too bad. I had helluva lot of fun. Out of all my years of WoW I’ve never tried to grind a launch to be ahead of the pack, and for me, I feel like I did pretty well. Had to use a lot of /tar macros though.

After an hour i felt gnomes starting area pretty dead…the lines for quest items were at most 6 people…i felt pretty alone

Maybe going UD was a better play than I thought, it was just in the starter zone but not what I’ve witnessed in prior launches - is fresh PVE just not as active as the fresh HC? There wasn’t even a Q to get on an hour and a half after launch - just wondering

I gave up the starter zone and went to level fishing and skinning.
When I went back to the starter zone I was able to get through it fine.
I grouped up for the two ‘bosses’ and that was that.

thats cause nobody plays gnomes

All the locks are horde

lemme guesss? Gnome warr?

you cant be this new to WOW. It’s a choke point until lvl 20. By then all of the “YAWN. Well, I won’t be 1st at anything” people leave, ran off by the “no-sleep” crew or the " My life is stagnate, best go for a 20 year old world 1st…"

So chillax, you will be fine

Gnome mage…

Name?

Thats odd, why even do that? I made an orc, i found a secluded corner and leveled off 2 spawns in the hills and then went on to grind boars and scorpions etc.

You dont have to do those quest. You can actually skip quest and get the xp you need.

The starting zone was fine but now I’m waiting for gnolls and many other mobs with a 7 minute spawn timer that have only a small chance to drop the item I need. Oh and theres 4-5 people at every pack.

If they added dual spec they probably could have also done a bit more to ease these bottlenecks. It’s a major problem every release and probably deters a ton of potential players. SOD phase 1 was absolutely abysmal in the Barrens.
