I look at WPvP as a special event happening all around.

Example
Long time ago in darkshire there were two brothers. They were on adventure, one was a hunter, the other a mage. Not Very experienced or known about(level 30). They were out killing enemies in the area.

Then an announcement came out darkshire is being attacked and not before long yells and screams of a powerful lock is destroying darkshire(level 46 or 48).

So, the brothers started towards darkshire, thinking of a plan on how to take this undead lock out.

They finally arrive on the outskirts of town fellow adventures running in different directions and one is saying run.
The unease feeling crept into both brothers and they continued cautiously. They spotted the undead lock on his death of a horse.

The battle rage on for a while. The hunter and mage new if the lock hit them they were dead. the fight crept on and the lock started back peddling out of the town. The villagers start assisting the two adventures before long the lock was defeated by two nobodies this continued about two more times.

High level killing low level players but the hunter became the hunted.
I like be WPvP it’s like unforeseen things will occur in the game. It’s an amazing feeling being apart of that.

Player reporting feature is lacking

The title sums it up. Classic wow should have game masters to police trash behavior like griefing and killing every NPC at a quest hub. Or at the very least give us an option to report them for that behavior. Right now there is no option for reporting a player or players for anything that would be constituted as griefing. Faction balance aside, Horde have multiple important travel hubs that are located in non contested zones in addition to being protected by level 55 elite guards who also have nets and a knock back that prevent Alliance players from easily camping inside the zeppelins and killing players all day. Honest question about camping

Is it in any way shape or form against ToS to constantly camp quest givers or areas where quest givers are present? I am genuinely curious. Incoming “get good nerd” responses, but for example in STV there has been a group of 5 alli 60’s camping the quest givers for a solid few hours preventing anyone from turning in. I get that some people are bored because they nolifed it to 60 and have nobody to play with but it’s kinda disheartening when you literally can’t quest because some knobs decide it…

I never see the most obvious answer being addressed in any of the wpvp criticism threads.

Back in Vanilla, even on the most unbalanced pvp servers, it was never this bad, simply because there weren’t enough players to do it. Zones are so huge that even on a high pop Vanilla server, world pvp would never completely shut down one faction.

High pop in Vanilla was 3k players- let’s say the imbalance was 2k Alliance, 1k Horde. Out of those two thousand, maybe 1k would wpvp at the same time. The others would quest, raid, etc. And out of those 1k doing wpvp, only 1/2-3/4 would be organized enough to shut down entire quest hubs and zones at a time. Sure, a popular zone like Tarren Mill or BRD would be a gankfest, but there were still places a player could go and quest without an entire 40 man gank raid camping you.

In Classic, high population servers are way, way above 3k. An imbalanced pvp server is facing thousands of opposing faction players. Not about 1k, spread out all over the world. THOUSANDS. More than enough for even half of the opposition to have the capability to shut down every major flight path and zone.

I don’t know how Blizzard didn’t see this coming before rolling out phase 2. They refuse to release their internal population numbers but it’s obvious to us, the players, that pretty much every server is overpopulated. You can’t quest anywhere without a dozen people camping mobs. Gathering professions are a joke, as there are bots and campers on every spawn point.

Who thought world pvp would be any different?

So please, the next time someone comes here to vent their frustration at Blizz, to complain about a very legitimate issue on pvp servers, don’t mock them. Remember how frustrated you were when you tried to finish a quest and it took you over 2 hrs to kill 5 mobs because there were 10 people there all trying at the same time. Remember how you rode through an entire zone looking for ore/herbs and never saw a dot on your map, or as soon as you did, saw a character materialize right in front of it because someone has the spawn time memorized and a character logged at that very spot.

The POPULATION is the issue, not people rolling pvp and not knowing any better. It’s an issue on PVE servers as well, just in a different way.

The game is almost broken for a lot of people due to overpopulation, and that’s on Blizzard. Many people transferred multiple times before launch to try and avoid it and it still happened.

Stop blaming the players.

classic wow has been and is very fun…but i will say it has reignited my hatred for the alliance. Ive notice that whilst leveling, horde are very passive they keep too themselves, they help each other with quests and they just all in all are very chill players.

but when i see an alliance character i notice they are almost always traveling in groups of 4 with 1 dude whos much higher level (Like hes the dog of the group the guy the low levels command) and the alliance appear out of nowhere the horde constantly feel like they a are playing in the west side story but a version in which the horde dont want too be in. (yes it would be fine too be in if it was a 1v1 or 1v2 with the same level)

alliance i know we have a literal language barrier in the game and we cant say stop when we are trying too lvl and yes im very angry ive been killed by lvl 40s at 26 (i can tell the level by the gear alot of the time) so many times. and what does this mean for you… well ill tell you…

I like it. Take whatever wins you can get. I have experienced 2 days of ZF zone in camping, and I applaud you for taking control of that area. But I have made sure to return the favor to the alliance questing in Tanaris. Enjoy that long walk back from the graveyard!

I had never heard Alliance camping ZF. Ever. I guess I was wrong about that. But it’s still mothing to the extreme of horde. And I never said Alliance don’t camp. I have said many times in many threads that Alliance have jerks too. But thag horde have way more. And the reasoning is because it’s EASIER to be a massive jerk on horde. So they mass there.
