Blizzard could also start selling tier from the store and heck legendaries too. I mean they are already selling legendaries in directly from the store.
Weâll be getting more frequent CC uses in the future. I think it was said like a charge every other day there at the end and you can bank charges indefinitely so new alts/lazy alts can catch up quick and easy.
Theyâll probably just remove the charge system in 9.2.5 if I had to guess. Only gate will be flux.
A lot of player could play alts if the game provided more deterministic ways to get the BIS status, thereâs this mentality that players wonât have things to do when actually, they can use this options to approache Mythic difficulty, +20 keysâŚetc, thereâs a lot of replayability on the game and you could also experience it with Alts and thereâs 12 classes.
You are a better player than you think. I donât know many folks who consider 15s easy. Everyone I know who is capable of pushing +20s is playing on the MDI servers though. Theyâre mostly just doing a few +15s on live for the GV, raiding for tier, and filling their vaults with fast lower keys so they can get back to MDI.
I never got that into keys, but I play them with friends when I do. There is a lot more gating on pugs than just 4-set. If youâre not pushing in week 1, you donât have the IO score to get into groups irrespective of your gear.

The only reason Iâm playing my Prot Warrior this patch is the knowledge that in a few weeks any alt I play will have 4 set, so filling their vault each week gives them a higher chance to be able to upgrade 278 instead of 272.
Iâm playing the game much more than I did in 9.1.
Yeah, that does seem to be a recurring theme that seems to be popping up more often on the GD forums
You are way off the mark. I was timing 20s without any tier (again, you can check my RIO if you canât take me at my word) and Iâm definitely not at MDI level.
Yeah, usually last patches become really good for Alts because Blizzard implemented all the catch up that should be from day 1.
Honestly, this patch would have been almost perfect if creation catalyst unlocked two weeks ago. The conservative deployment hurt them. All that said, at least we are almost at the stage in the expansion where you can just play the game unhindered so thatâs good. I can actually recommend folks come back k to the game.
It would be nice to get charges from somewhere besides waiting for them to happen. Collecting all the transmog sets will take forever!
Big money says theyâll remove the charge system later so you can hunt down the mogs. IMO at least. It will give Blizzard more longevity of the cosmic flux grind, as youâll need a lot to get all colorations off all mogs especially if you donât raid in those toons.
It would be nice if they just removed the charge system so we could use the sandworn gear right now and then just let us upgrade as needed. But we have to add arbitrary timegating for whatever reason.
Also it would be nice to upgrade valor gear to 278 for the mythic skins. They are the best kind of transmog and itâs only available through great vault. Getting 8 15s done is annoying enough on one character, I rarely ever do that. I wouldnât mind using valor to get the mythic transmog sets.

Absolutely agree, I said this exact thing elsewhere. 3k IO for 278 Vslor upgrades would be amazing.
Yea the raids are getting upgrade items, I think they should do this when they uncap valor. Feels weird how only great vault gives 278. We have so much limited chances to get the mythic tier looks : /.
Respect. Youâre ranked at 98th percentile for druid tanks, 99th percentile for druids overall and you already have AotC (?!). Your âend gameâ is vastly different from mine and I bet you could get into MDI with the right team.
Iâve always refused to be forced to roll Horde, so for me even getting AotC is a social engineering feat. I just squeaked by in 9.1 on my 5th raid team. My raid lead cobbled together a raid from a couple of dying cross-server groups. Player attrition in SL has been crippling.
THIS we can agree on. I just think that it has a smaller impact on the broad playerbase than you do. The people I really feel sorry for are PvP players. Blizzard refuses to normalize gear and rating leads to gear and player power in a much more direct way than with keys.
When did this become the philosophy? In all my years of playing MMOs, a huge part of the game (regardless of MMO) has been gear progression.
PvP RPGs have always operated under the logic of âYou do stuff to get gear to make your character powerful to do the thing you want to doâ. Diablo 2 was the same way - all your grinding went towards creating character builds for PvP, as that was the only true end-game as Cows could hardly be called a proper end-game.
WoW, game in the olden days, was the same way. There was a lot of loot that only existed for the purposes of being used for PvP. Blizzard has simply wised up a bit and made actual end-game content that is enjoyable for its own sake in PvE and then added routes for PvPers to get their gear without slogging through a raid they didnât enjoy.
With M+ being its own thing and its own end-game, the same sort of logic applies here - people want to get the gear so they can push the keys without limitation. Gearing is a âphaseâ of the game but it isnât the final iteration that you primarily consume - pushing keys at gear cap is the sort of âfinal frontierâ of doing M+.
I donât think WoW has ever been a specifically PvP RPG. Itâs an MMORPG with a PvP side game.
While this may be true, that doesnât mean that this method of play is finally âplaying the game âfor realââ. Itâs a very small part of the game.
Get 4 sets for everyone then what?
Look at ZM.
Everyone gets their flying.
Then Everyone gets their 2nd legendaries.
Now look at ZM, like a ghost town. ZM could become ghost town on the first week of 9.2 if no time gates.
Everyone on 4P would make lowbie keys, LFR, and Normal Raid a joke. Keep people enjoy lowbie contents first.
