Use it as a jumping off point. You can still read what the talents do and how they affect each other.
If the problem is that the process is overwhelmingly complex…make it less complex while learning the class. It’s supposed to be fun.

“That it’s there for people who maybe, honestly, aren’t interested in the gameplay of mastering their spec”
The feature was literally designed to get players like me back in the game.
That’s what Ion said in the interview. Why are you lying now?
watch this snippet…the point is the exact opposite. the OBR is there also for those who dont want to get caught up in rotations but just want to play the game for the story and interaction

So what exactly is the problem, you press the one button you literally don’t have to think about a single thing.
literally not whats happening.
The OBR isnt going to top DPS charts.
Its a gimped ‘rotation’ just for doing damage for those who have trouble with it or just dont care to learn it.
your complexity is all right there where you left it…just dont keybind the OBR and boom…‘complexity’ is all yours.
comments like this hurt my brain…
was thinking the exact same thing…
It’s not about complexity, it’s about how some people have disabilities that put them at a disadvantage compared to able-bodied players.
This accessibility feature would be primarily directed at people with motor issues whos hands are less than cooperative and don’t want to struggle with their keyboard.
Well because it’s not very fun to play an RPG with 1 button with a character build that you didn’t even come up with.
But also…jumping right isn’t fun because it would require hours and hours of reading talents and abilities. When really it should take 10 minutes tops.
maybe because ion said so?

No, because that implies you have a genuine interest in the game, but don’t feel like mastering a rotation. You have no interest in the game beyond whining on the forums about it.
That is literally not what Ion said. Stop lying.
Ion said it is for people who do not like the complexity of rotations…aka, me.
Of course I have an interest in WoW. I want WoW to be good.
I’m sorry that I have a criticisms…my god, forum dwellers are sensitive.
If it is taking you hours to read and understand a talent tree you may have some form of learning disability. Not trying to be rude but that is legitimately not normal.
You are complaining that a one-button rotation requires you to learn too much about the game. No, you are not interested in playing the game. You’re interested in whining online.
Some of the talents are stupidly complex in all the ways they interact with other talents and their implementation jank.
Go look at the Stormbringer tree for enhancement and tell me why you want to use Tempest before Ascendance so badly. With specifics.
given that it seems 75% of players are being outshined by the OBR based on some steamer ‘data’…Id say thats precisely what we thought was going to happen…some players who thought they were all that are getting smoked by a gimped one key ‘rotation’ that doesnt even use big CDs like a player would lol
Accessiblity is refering to lowering the learning curve… nothing to do with handicapped people.
Also handicapped people can already see all the dungeons, the raid, experience the story, do all the zones. So it doesn’t even make sense that they would need an accessibility feature.
Thank you for telling me what I am interesting in /s
its actually showing around the web…someone seems to be paying attention to the details.
I dont know if that number is accurate or not, but certainly have been enough complaints online about being outshined by the OBR for me to believe it could be that high…especially on more complex specs.
Ion says a lot of things.
This more then likely wasn’t his idea and nor would he have been the one implementing it. Also, considering you can’t even read the talent tree without your eyes glazing over, highly doubt you can read a full interview with Ion.
