Whyyyy though, Infernal is the main CD of destruction, all main CDs for every spec should be accessible early, like first row gate 2 at the earliest.
Dimensional rift might be good for mobility, but personally I don’t know many that love that ability beyond the ‘it gives some mobility’, and even then it doesn’t justify moving Infernal back down to capstone region.
Thoughts?

Made me chuckle, now they care about mobility.

This game has really jumped the shark. One week it’s “infernal is the most important thing it needs to feel impactful”, next it’s “Rift is much more impactful don’t worry about Infernal so much”.

Yeah I don’t get it. You can’t make this stuff up.
They are stating trying something new. Soo id a bit skeptical if I main destro.

EDIT: It appears the pathing bugs have been corrected. I still think the previous iteration was superior to this even if it required some more trimming.

Yeah some more clean up, but last weeks build was far superior.

I really really dislike putting the main CD down bottom, and well I guess some people like Rifts? I dont like how empty it feels to press the button, if that makes sense, but hard focusing on it is just… noooo

If they want Dimensional Rift to be a core spell for Destruction, they need to at least fix it not benefitting from Mastery due to being classified as a pet/summon.

Thats a good point, like it already lacks that kinetic feel of pressing a button → something happens (the delay kills me). Oh and random effect from a list yay
But that aside, if people like the design, fine. Just don’t move the main CD down for it, that makes no sense. The majority of specs are getting their main CD by the second gate already, or are being changed to have it so. Why would Destro go back on what was a good change last week?
Also, minor but the tree looks just terrible now

role back to the previous tree, and prune a bit no one cares about rift, so why would we prioritize Rift over infernal this feels like S3 all over again this Rift madness has to stop

Well they removed 3 of the buff they gave it. Kinda ruined Destro for me. I liked how it was going now not so much.
Also why Infernal back in the bottom. Previous tree was much better

They need to give rifts cleave.
I don’t necessarily dislike this change, but rifts need to cleave.
And improved chaos bolt should just not exist.

Rifts need to do their thing quicker. Its insanely frustrating how delayed they are, and can feel abysmal in certain situations.

Beginning with our general changes, we are moving Chaos Bolt to be baseline. This is mainly to provide a Soul Shard spender once your specialization is chosen. We are also removing Chaosbringer but plan to provide additional tuning to Chaos Bolt, Rain of Fire, and Shadowburn baseline to ensure their power remains relatively the same.
Improved Chaos Bolt is underwhelming as a capstone, especially when they said they would buff baseline Chaos Bolt (and Rain of Fire, Shadowburn) to make up for losing Chaosbringer.

I like the idea, rift is much better for leveling than infernal, a single rift per pack would be fine so you’d have way more uptime than infernal. On the other hand, infernal is better for doing bosses in dungeons and a lot of people level that way too. In the end, I like infernal earlier since rift is supposed to be a capstone and infernal should always be a part of Destro.
At the very least leave flame Rift as a node.

You can’t be serious
It’s virtually an instant cast dot
What else could you possibly want from it other than it going off the gcd (never going to happen)
It’s cool that they immediately walked back one of the rare good decisions they had made in all these rounds of changes by moving infernal back to the end of the skill tree.
The destro rotation has no high points, infernal is the closest we get and it’s still one of the lamer cooldowns out there in terms of gameplay. By leaving it at the end we just get nothing cool for 60 levels.
Also there is no word on whether the 3 removed upgrades to Dimensional Rift were baked in or not so we possibly lost the flame rifts and cleave (lessons in space-time too but that one is should stay buried in an unmarked grave) making this potentially an even lamer version of the skills people already didn’t want when it was the focus of our S3 set

If people wanted to play DoTs we have the DoT-iest spec there is and it’s not destro
This is just the spec being hamstrung by the devs insisting on having way too much RNG in a skill that doesn’t need it because they’ve never figured out a way to represent the chaos fantasy other than just adding RNG which is both ultra lame and lazy and representative of how destro has been handled for a good while now.
It would be so much cooler to lean into the idea of chaos as entropy, ultimate disorder, the inevitable end state of all things with spells that intend to destroy utterly and disintegrate rather than just throw dice at people.
instant cast, open portal, delay, effects. Instant cast is nice and all but that still doesnt feel good to press to me, feels empty.
Regardless, it should not bump primary CD down like that on the tree
