Haha, what are you even talking about? I guess you’re right that I don’t find loot meaningful which is exactly what I said… it’s not meaningful lolol. Good job pointing the obvious though. I almost missed it!
Its hard to argue against people who got catered with loot the last few expansions.
I like keeping the loot this scarce, i prefer this than having too much too choose from ( you know, back when ilvl didn’t matter cause everyone got endless amount of loots for being online for an hour?)
Haha, it wouldn’t be so bad if the drops were actually useful. I donno, maybe my items are just that good that I need to up my ilvl, but tbh my stats aren’t optimized. Sadly the drops are even less optimized.
Ok I get rng. Again… the point is, it doesn’t feel meaningful… I’m not expecting that every drop is a upgrade. Not at all, I’m just saying that blizzard wanted to make loot feel meaningful, but it doesn’t.
I mean… at least for me, loot drops haven’t been all that exciting in several expansions. Everything is so regimented and controlled that unless you hit the jackpot and a BiS for some slot drops, the benefit brought by new gear is tiny and barely felt. You have to upgrade between a third and a half of your stuff to really feel the difference.
Worse, the items themselves are barely even recognizable as items with how there’s N versions of each, meaning you can go from [Cool Name Bracers] (blue) to [Cool Name Bracers] (epic) to [Cool Name Bracers] (epic +4) and feel even less of an upgrade at each step.
I miss when items were recognizable and well-known, with each step being a significant upgrade.
Right… to me. I didn’t say it wasn’t to me did I? Lol ok I give up. I’m not sure what you’re trying to prove. I feel like you just want me to agree with you on everything.
The problem isn’t whether the loot feels meaningless, it’s whether the game feels meaningless. A game that feels like a waste of the finite and rapidly depleting hours of ones life is not something chock full of meaning.
