“Mythic Mythic Plus”

A second (or third) game mode. No timer = not mythic+. At all. In any way. Nope. Zero. Good third game mode idea though you should do what OP did and make a fleshed out plan.

Well… yeah. On lower keys you just tank extra damage because all of the damage is massively undertuned.

That’s also a reason I love the idea of Mythic Mythic Plus - we can have more mechanics on higher end and so we can cut back on the extreme scaling, because currently they make mechanics hit like a wet noodle on lower keys because there’s so many of them. Instead if more mechanics came online in 20s, you could have more casts on higher keys and have less casts on lower keys, and so on the lower end you could play the pulls slower and control the kicks and have them still be deadly if the cast gets off without having it be overly difficult.

Right now low keys are an AE fest because there’s no mechanical granularity so its all in the scaling and because its all in the scaling you can tank the damage

Seriously? Did you not read the line afterwards where I specifically stated that I also enjoy that style of play? What I am not though is delusional enough to think that that will ever come back to retail. Not when I (and each player in my group) have 2-5 different methods to completely control a pack of mobs and prevent them from killing me.

Unless your plan is to go back to BC heroics where tanks just flat out get utterly wrecked by mobs (and not by abilities, but by simple white hits)… It’s not going to happen.

I mean, I didn’t make this up. This was from Morgan Day.

that’s exactly what m+ is currently

I like all of this.

Lol no. Maybe 20+ I have not ventured that high in keys, sub 20 though its just a zerg-fest of DPS , interrupts help yes but they are far from required.

basically make it disgusting snooze fest, I get it.

content scales infinitely. everyone gets gear.
end of season you don’t need too much CC in lower dungeons, but trust me, people were doing it below 20s early on.

Exactly, something different, a change of pace from normal mythic plus.

No I dont think so, I played from launch and made keymaster in the first few weeks, we didnt use hard CC at all , its too much for PUGS.

I enjoy mythic plus the way it is I am just saying if you going to make a new mode lets make it different is all.

this is too easy. go for it if it doesn’t give relevant rewards, noone will object.

pugs were doing it all the time. same now in 20+

So basically you want Capcom to make the game.

Why would someone spend time running the same dungeon multiple times at the same level if they are paying for IO? This literally wouldn’t give you IO unless you went between each week. A paid carry would look more like 1 completion across the board, maybe one dungeon done twice.

Either way, I think I have seen exactly one person not stand in the bubble on 3rd boss of AV, and that was a leveling dungeon.

+20 and higher, as of writing this, is just over 1 million unique characters which of course includes alts. That is about 16% of every unique character that has done at mythic+ at all has done a +20.

I’m sure carry sales are in there but it would take some elaborate datamining to figure it out, and I doubt it’s a massive % of the total.

I didn’t say scaling rewards, I said they could buff up the M+ rewards, that means stuff like mogs, that means more titles, that means more mounts. and so forth.

I mean, higher ilvl could be cool, but let’s start with mogs first. Still think its insane that the last time we got a class dungeon mog was MoP.

I agree. More cosmetics are always welcome and a better carrot for engagement than just gear IMO because gear is ephemeral.

I guess I don’t get why you think making a M++ system is what
would open the door for these rewards. How about we get them for doing the current content which already has difficulty scaling? Why do we need something else when the current system works?

That’s fine too. As long as he stops trying to relive his nostalgic days in BRD.
