Fwiw, i dont entirely disagree with you, having tons of stuff be time limited does kinda suck. But its important to put things in perspective and remember its just a few cosmetics here and there. Saying anyone who doesnt agree lacks empathy is a bit dramatic doncha think?

Transmog from reworked dungeons and raids?
With mounts it’s even worse.
Also it doesn’t matter if OP is new in the game or not. To drag the discussion on a personal level isn’t helpful. Let’s not pretend like everyone is fine with this system. The arguments stay the same, regardless of being a new or old player.

This. I am not pro-fomo, but a) there are only a few things that are actually that and thousands of things that are not, people need to build a bridge and get over it and b) no one should be advocating for Blizzard to break promises.

I’m not entitled . Has I said better players derve nice things. I’m okay with going out of my way to be a better player for a chance for something.

The only Unobtainable stuff for xmog is what? The OG mage tower. Armor sets from pre-patch events which were just recolors. The challenge stuff from Pandaria which has a recolor version in Legion. The old Naxx gear before the redesign. That’s all I can think of. Most everything else is available in some fashion.
All cosmetics. Not just x-mog. Mounts, pets toys etc.
I am so skeptical of the OP and other posts like this from “new players”. This game is packed to the gills with amazing looking cosmetics, and to even see the ones that have been removed requires a bit of finessing with WoWhead searches.
Also more than half of the removed sets have like 3 polygons. Even the old CM pieces look dated and less appealing than the sets you pick up from a SL LFR. 
So like all the gladiator stuff, TCG and AOTC? I don’t care personally far more stuff you can get than what little is unobtainable.

Although hard skill based items back then need to be brought back with either equally hard or harder content to get.
