Suggestion for PvP: Showing Opponent's Rank and Name at the Start/End of Matches

I would like to share a suggestion to make the PvP mode in Warcraft Rumble much more engaging and competitive.

Currently, we lack clear information about our opponents during the match introduction and the post-game screen. I believe showing the opponent’s nickname and their current worldwide/leaderboard rank at the start and end of matches would greatly improve the PvP experience for several reasons:

  1. Enhanced Competitiveness: Knowing exactly who you are facing and what their rank is creates a real sense of challenge. Defeating a higher-ranked player provides an incredible feeling of accomplishment.

  2. Transparency in Matchmaking: While the underlying MMR system adjusts the point gains/losses fairly (gaining more points when beating a high-rank player and losing fewer points if they defeat you), not seeing this information makes the matchmaking feel vague. Showing the ranks would clarify why we gain or lose a specific amount of points.

  3. Community & Recognition: Seeing player names consistently in higher brackets helps build a natural rivalry and a stronger sense of community within the game.

I understand the potential concern regarding psychological pressure if a player sees a much higher-ranked opponent at the start. However, since the point system already balances the risk, the transparency and excitement this feature would bring far outweigh the negatives. Even a comprehensive post-match summary screen showing these details would be a massive improvement.

What does the community think about this? I hope the dev team considers adding more transparency to the PvP screens.
