Why did blizzard give a game that was very bright and cartoony a “next gen” look?
I still can’t tell what is going on in reforged, I can barely recognize spells and abilities. I can’t tell when the blademaster is attacking because his animations are so different.
I need to be able to understand what is happening so I can micro and react during battles.
Can we get a hand painted remaster where everything is still recognizable like classic warcraft 3 but just higher fidelity art and bigger diffuse texture maps?
Is there going to be a multiplayer ladder ever?
Is there even a team working on this game besides making balance changes that only top pro players will ever notice?

Seems like, if I was a betting man, I might be inclined to bet that the answer to all of your questions was a resounding “no”. But then again, who knows?

We’ve had this broken unlisted update for over 2 weeks now that breaks receiving game invites and friend list updates to try getting around that issue. It’s questionable if they even know the game exists. They can’t be bothered.

considering the huge amount of models in wc3, this is not gonna happen. we’re talking about remaking several thousand models.
Even if we just take multiplayer relevant models, think all Map doodads and prop models, creeps and then the races themselves.
Its possible, however, to improve the texture work on the models quite easily (in itself, the models and textures are really good, mostly) , add more Team color patches and better readable contrast, Details, colors. the other Part of the equation might be the Light setup in the maps themselves, but i dont know about that for sure because im really bad with the wc3 Editor. i just recently started tinkering around with the textures, because as 2d artist this was bugging me as hell.
there also might be a way to considerably increase performance, too. either AO or specularity absolutely tank performance, and if its AO - maybe we can copy the AO shader layer into the diffuse texture (works well via multiply) and disabled the AO shader. should look quite similar. dunno tho for sure, maybe its also specularity, and we’d be losing some very neat Effects
Just talking theory here: it should be possible to run a fixed Version of Reforged graphics via warcraft Champions.
The question is tho, who is gonna do it, and is it worth it?
and this is why professional players will never use Reforged graphics. The models are not designed to be viewed from over-head, because Lemon Sky was given literally 0 creative direction. So, you have models that would look really good in something like a tabletop game (e.g: Warhammer 40k) or in an MMO, but look like muddled blobs of color in an RTS game.
So, you can’t easily decipher one unit from the other or really tell which unit belongs to who in a large melee.

And when they are going to return the personalized campaign to us.
I know they screwed up themselves making models for first-person cinematics but not doing such cinematics. But the community can fix that if they at least have the decency to let us fix it.

They are working on an overhaul to give us player profiles. This was posted almost one year ago. Knowing blizzard that ‘upcoming’ can mean up to two years, they must be halfway there.

I was hoping to get this game on sale during the summer sale but I was sad to see it was still full price… if they never fix the game it wont be worth buying to me.

Are you kidding? DO NOT waste even a single cent on Blizzard products before they fix an abomination called Reforged!
Bobby K-tick cares only about his another 200 million $ bonus payment next year.
And he will never move his fat Jewish rear to fix reforged if the money keeps flowing.
