While in bnet in wc3 getting password is incorrect error

Same here, keeps looping me to login on the client even though I am logged in on the BattleNet launcher.

Error message below:
Title: “ERROR”
Description: “The password you have provided is incorrect. Please Try Again.”

  • Only option is a “Login” Button
  • Once the “Login” button is pressed it shows a BattleNet sign in page with 3 buttons → Options, Play Offline, and Exit Game

Troubleshooting attempts all resulted with same error and login prompt:

  1. Logged in when prompted in the in-game client and loops me back to login prompt again.
  2. Restarted client, scan and repaired Warcraft 3 on the launcher
  3. Reset password and logged in
    All resulted with same error and login prompt

After waiting 1-2 minutes, a new error automatically pops up:
Title: “ERROR”
Description: “There was an error in handling the request. Please check your VPN.”

After clicking Ok, the UI chain billboard animation is stuck half way
