Campaign progress is only stored locally. Thus, if you install to a new computer/drive it won’t transfer, so you’ll have to copy it over. This post is about backing up campaign progress, but it applies to copying it over as well:

With the recent patches seemingly resetting all campaign progress, and several reports of progress being lost after a game crash, it might be helpful to periodically back up the files that store the campaign information.
