Hi all,
Hopefully there’s someone here that can help me out.
Since a few weeks warcraft reforged just shuts down instantly without any spikes in ping, errors or whatever. It just fully shuts down the game.
It happens pretty much every custom game I play. Sometimes i’m lucky and I can be in 2 games without a crash, but normally it just fully shuts down.
I’ve deleted my drivers using DDU, re-installed.
I’ve deleted warcraft and re-installed.
I’ve added “- launch” to the destination of wc3.exe to avoid loading the battle.net log-in screen.
Nothing seems to work.
I’m running:
ROG Strix G18
32gb RAM
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070
Windowns 11
Waste a lot of time googling, but couldnt really find anything that actually works.
Thanks in advance!
To specificy “every custom game” – does that mean 1 or 2 custom games you play over and over, or does it mean 100 different custom games map? Some custom games are unstable, especially in reforged graphics. If you play a few maps often, it likely is a specific in map trigger that prompts it.
I’m not at home but your documents w3 folder also provides crash logs. Can you check if anything is in there?
Hi,
I mean the official 4v4 play from Warcraft. Not map specific. Think ive played 1000 and 3/4 gets a full crash. Not any games like legion or whatnot, just 4v4 base building and hitting ;p
I got some, but not giving me any good insights.
Which file you want? Crash file or War3Log?
Jut copy paste the full message here?
Thanks
Update:
Thought i fixed it disabling all start-up apps. But still crashes.

Update 2:
It happens on all games. Cant seem to find a fix. Custom games, 4v4 games, legion, everything.
I that a laptop you’re on ? I suggest checking your GPU temps. Sounds like you have an overheating issue. Did you overclock? That is classic behavior when something is unstable in your system.
I have the desktop RTX 4070 and the in-game FPS limit does not work. I set it to 144 FPS but the game runs higher and the GPU is eating 220w. Everything is stable on my end but on a laptop that may be an issue.
Hey thanks for the reply!
I have not overclocked my laptop, and yes it is a laptop. ROG Strix.
That could be it then yeah.. Not sure if there´s a limit to be set that the game does take into account? If so, that might be another fix to try..
