you want to know what i think? i think your full of crap, you talk a lot but your doing shït all about it. your words means nothing to me, because your actions speak much louder.
Couldn’t agree more, i mean yea they didn’t do everything they said but They could as well update the game in future patches to add some stuff too it’s not like they can’t change anything now
It’s totally not because this is cheaper than making higher quality cutscenes(LIKE YOU ARE LITERALLY STILL ADVERTISING IS IN THE GAME, WHICH BTW IS HELLA ILLEGAL IN MOST COUNTRIES!!!)
Nope, it’s because you want us to experience it closer to how it was back then.
Lul.
K.
only a gullable fool will wait around. It’s been 2 years of a steady decline. Blizzards gone man, this is just a shell company for Activision. Wake up you sucker.
Time to bring the old features back, if you want anything good to say about this game. As offline player and as a person who liked to make custom maps/campaigns, you killed the game for me.
It’s awful. As a toddler I watched my mum play WC2 and 3, and Diablo 1 and 2 and messed around as a little kid on WC3 and D1 myself. Then WoW came out and I watched my mum play that until the end of BC when I made my first toon at eight years old, and I’ve been playing ever since. When I was a teenager, my dream day job was to be a concept artist for Blizzard. I still play WC2 and D1 and 2, and Classic WoW, and retail today at twenty-three. Seriously considering just removing battlenet from my computer, but it’s been such a huge part of my life for so long.
I’ve watched this company go down the toilet and morph from a company run by gamers, for gamers, into whatever this corporate mess is. It’s not Blizzard anymore. When activision came in, that was the beginning of the end. And the shutdown of Blizzard North. Now it’s just actiblizsion, a greedy corporate entity comprised only of bean counters and stingy businessmen who care for nothing but money. It’s heartbreaking and frustrating. Blizzard was a pillar of the gaming community. Now they’re just as sh*t as all the other lousy ones like bethesda and ea.
What makes the new spell breakers worse then the old?
So no auto tournaments? GG for me I guess. Launching without a ladder seems even more baffling to me. I won’t be waiting for them to be added to re-purchase the game.
This response has significantly worsened my opinion on ever re-buying reforged, and has given me some serious doubt on how well blizzard understands their playerbase. This was a chance to say you messed up and will make it right, and I gotta say… you just made it a lot worse.
Exactly what I am thinking !!
It is a disaster !!!
the campaigns tell one of the classic stories in Warcraft history, and we want to preserve the true spirit of Warcraft III and allow players to relive these unforgettable moments as they were (albeit rebuilt with new animations and the higher fidelity art).
Thats a flat out lie, you butchered the scenes by editing out certain lines, quotes, from units and straight up just editing whole scenes its not Grommash its Grom. you liying sorry excuse for a company if youre gonna give us the “true authentic experience” then don’t edit or cut it. It seems you wanted to do a WOW edit and you didnt have the balls to finish it so you left certain wow aspects that completely ruin the experience.
Read the actual EULA because what it really says covers any and all copyright in your custom games. So that includes the name of the custom game for example as well. So DOTA could have been created of course but DOTA 2 by Valve could not have been created as Blizzard would have been the legal owner of the name of the game as well as all the names of the heroes etc. That is if this would hold up in court obviously.
“Without limiting the foregoing, you hereby assign to Blizzard all of your rights, title, and interest in and to all Custom Games, including but not limited to any copyrights in the content of any Custom Games.”
Still have my disc copy. Will see if I can patch it to a particular version and keep it from updating to reforged.
That is…until Blizz finds a way to screw up the disc copies too. I wouldn’t even be surprised by that at this point.
I just wanted warcraft 4. Preserve the old game and reforge the new one. It would have been really fun to get a totally reimagined game instead of this fence-sitting version. Lean into the decision to preserve fully or lean into a rework/remade or DO BOTH. Either way, dont charge more than half of a new game for something you half assed.
Seeing my favorite game being treated so poorly has obliterated what little faith I had left in Blizzard as a company. I’m certain most of the issues can be traced back to managerial positions and not the developer themselves. I work as a programmer analyst and it’s unthinkable we could ever release a produce in such a state.
As a map maker, this is especially heart wrenching to me. Seeing what happened to Heroes of the Storm I also can’t take your words on any long term commitment seriously. I think the game was dying due to dwindling userbase but this is the nail in the coffin. I’m sure there will be streamers and players that keep playing. But I’ve been absolutely demoralized with the level of lazyness I’ve come to expect from this company.
It’s like comparing Path of Exile to Diablo 3 and the disparity in quality from their respective new seasons gimmicks. I don’t understand how a company can put out such consistent low level of polish and expect to be taken seriously. It seems to me like Blizzard is staying afloat on name recognition alone these days. I hope Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 works well for you because it’s about all you’ve got left.
From a 2 decades long fan, Good Bye.
We need you to improve the Game Image quality!!! it’s important.
I’m sorry but this won’t make me buy it again.
All the bugs aside, I expected actually good in game cinematics with the cinematic camera angles and animations we saw in the culling of stratholme preview at blizzcon. Additionally, the revamped maps and voice acting to match wow was also what I pre purchased before 2019 blizzcon.
Sorry but bug fixes won’t bring us ,who were mis marketed to, back.
Hell even the maps don’t look that graphically improved because they have the same lack of features as 2002. Additionally the UI still looks out dated.
I never expected new content but I did expect all of the old content to be redone.
TBH I actually thought it was even lazy for them to not redo the high rez cinematics like arthas killing his father even though they did make this clear they weren’t going to do it from the get go. But I still thought THAT was lazy, let alone all of this being scrapped.
In summary, if you want to pay for a buggier version of a 16 year old game, with better unit models, then the 40 pound is great value!
drastic times call for drastic measures. ENjoy feeding blizzard your money sucker.
If anything this gives me a lot of concern for Overwatch 2, Diablo 4 and Shadowlands.
“When it’s ready.” Used to be a mantra for Blizzard. But this isn’t Blizzard anymore. It’s Activision.
Guess I can always go back to FFXIV online, or wait for Cyberpunk 2077 or FF7 remake. Curious how Square’s remake seems to actually be doing justice to the original. Not replacing it. But adding too it’s legacy.
Custom maps is part of what kept WCIII relevant for so long. I don’t blame folks for not wanting to give up their “Moral rights” to Blizzard with this new EULA and ToS.
Oh I thought you handled the WoW forums. Did they task you with officially posting here too? Shame they couldn’t afford another person to give Warcraft III Reforged a little more attention, especially after it has became such a huge dumpster fire.
I hope you get paid a lot and I hope you remember it’s not you, you’re just the messenger for a company that can’t do anything right lately. You use to work for a company with more integrity that produced quality products. An innovative company ahead of the pack.
Not anymore… it’s just copy, paste or outsourcing (with a dash of greed).
It’s a true shame what Blizzard has become.
If only blizz was as dedicated as their forum shills we wouldn’t see this day
