This could be said for Warcraft 3 as a whole. Unlike Starcraft Remastered they tried to do too much with WC3: retcon and new cutscenes (which got walked back), new UI and client that got rid of ladder, profiles and clans which are still in development, balance changes etc. all alongside implementing the more detailed models and Battle.net 2.0 compatibility.
Obviously one of the main points of Reforged was the new models and Battle.net 2.0 compatibility, but maintaining a game does not imply really changing existing content (especially the way they did), but to make sure it’s still playable and compatible. So bug and compatibliity fixes yes, but not content changes to the existing game. OF course if they can add content without changing existing content (like new optional models or campaigns), then that should be fine.
