Just installed the game, it wont launch, No error messages, nothing. Here is think link to DXDIAG output.
Can you open Taskmgr to see if Warcraft Reforged is on there?
can you post your basic system specs i.e. RAM CPU GPU OS version

When I have task manager open when I launch the game (either from the exe directly or via Bnet I see the exe launch, then after a few seconds close. The exe is not running beyond that point.
Within the windows event viewer, I can see the Application error reporting and windows error reporting. Both belowing errors
Had it ever worked on this system before? You did say fresh install, but had you ever had it installed and working previously?
I’ve seen this issue occur before with other applications, usually it’s a driver or windows update related issue, but there’s also one (sort of two) other possibilities:
- From the pastebin, you have the game installed in a nonstandard path. While this usually does work it has been known to cause various issues. Could you for the sake of science, uninstall the game and allow it to be installed to the default directory i.e. in Program Files?
- A weirdly common issue, the Warcraft III folder inside your user’s Documents folder/location can under unclear circumstances get set to read only which can cause the game to crash or behave strangely. Go to your user’s documents folder, find the Warcraft III folder, right click > Properties, and make sure the Read Only box is cleared.
It could be something else but try both of the above things along with making sure you’re using the latest version of Windows avialable to you (i.e. the final release of 10 or the most current version of 11 with updates current and drivers updated).
This is more of a longshot but you could also try a few other things
- run the game as administrator
- After having performed step 2) above to ensure the config file can be written to, open war3preferences.txt (in the warcraft III folder mentioned above) , press ctrl+F, type windowedmode and set it to 0.
= There are various command line arguments you can set (do it via the battle.net app to change the directX version used by the game. I can’t recall exactly what these are but if you search around these forums you can find them or ask Google.

Turn off any overlay, Discord, gamebar or Nvidia

Reinstall the game and Bnet
Any dependencies are installed with the game so if they’re not present, it wasn’t installed correctly and reinstalling would fix it. Already mentioned trying administrator, though disabling overlays is a good idea.

What do you mean with “Wont launch, just nothing”?
There has been a history of the game actually running except for the visuals. Meaning you end up a black-screen. But if you hit specific hotkeys such as these for [s]ingle player or [m]ultiplayer you may well hear the menu shifting to the [hotkey introduced] sub menu. Most notably the chain sound that adds audio to the visual chains rolling up and down the menu interfaces.
This means the game does run, you just can’t see. A low effort solution is to press “alt + enter” in the black screen. This is the default windows command to force the screen to a windowed version. Computers tend to be less sophisticated producing windowed-images over full screen.
Can you check if that works? At least that will give you a visual and allow you to easily navigate the video settings menu in-game.
Alternatively you can go to C:/Users/[name]/Documents/Warcraft III and open War3Preferences.txt and within that txt file, scroll all the way down to the [video] menu. You can for example set vsync=0 or use something as ChatGPT to ask which settings to apply there to give the least probability of issues.
