I would love if they decide to release DLC campaigns relating the events in Wc1 and Wc2 with Reforged engine, new models and all, I would buy those in a heartbeat.

They dont have to reforge entire game⌠just add few skins, maps and recreate the story!
Would be great to have the campaigns from 1 & 2 as part of WC3 Reforged or an expansion to it at some point.
WC1 (using Last Guardian novel as a basis), 2 and Beyond the Dark Portal as campaign dlc would be fantastic. But to tell the story first and foremost, rather than just a 1:1 remake of the old campaigns.
I do not really want simple remasters of WarCraft 1 & 2. I would rather see those stories be completely remade in the WarCraft 3 engine. Heck, at various points I have thought WarCraft 4 could just be a modern retelling of 1 & 2.
Those old campaigns just do not really cut it by newer standards. They both tell the story of their side âwinningâ . WarCraft 3 was revolutionary precisely because it found a way for all of the campaigns to be a continuous story.
Possibly you could gut everything and retell the story of the first two games through the perspective of the Horde for 1 and mostly the Alliance for 2. If there are any missions that are truly important to the lore that are not on the right âsideâ just try to tell them somehow with you controlling the the âlosersâ . Or maybe as a one off Interlude.
The only one like that that absolutely comes to mind though from WarCraft 1 is the killing of Medivh. That is too important to the story not to have. In WarCraft II things are bit more difficult because there is a fair amount that happens in the Orc campaign that is important canon. So perhaps you have an abridged version where you again start with the Horde and play up until Gulâdanâs betrayal (along with Choâgall) in the Tomb of Sargeras mission. And then switch over to the Alliance and how tell the rest of the story from their perspective all the way until the surviving forces on Draenor flee through the collapsing portals.

Wonât work due to it using the Warcraft 3 engine below the new graphics, if any of you have played a maps with ships on them, theyâre very different from what you would expect out of a warcraft 2 remake.
Warcraft 2 had ships but they technically were the same as foot units, due to it being sprite based, there was absolutely no limitation on how ships would interact/build different than ground units.
In warcraft 3, this is way different, in addition to that, map size compared to units/aspect ratio and other stuff makes it so that ships are either broken cause too much range or useless.
If Warcraft 2 were to be remade it would (most likely) have to be a 2d remaster, or maybe it could be 3d if built from the ground.
Personally, i have no desire to see the war 1 and 2 campaigns just remade. I would much rather prefer a brand new fun campaign using the same story⌠At least the story that is accurate historically. I think war1 orcs and war2 humans is the main story⌠Although there were parts of the others that had accurate story elements.
Trying to remake those campaigns in a different engine would be more difficult than just making new campaigns.

My opinion on the subject: since yeah, WC1 and 2 are pretty ancient gameplay-wise and thereâs no real reason to revive such a clunky interface, itâd be better to bring them in as extra campaigns in WC3: Reforged. Iâm iffy about the idea of them being DLC, but⌠at a reasonable price point - probably no more than $10 apiece, or $15 for the full set, including Beyond the Dark Portal - then perhaps.
That said, WC1âs as-it-is-presented-in-the-actual-campaign plot is barely more sophisticated than that of the first Zelda game, and WC2âs has had enough implicit retcons patched onto it by later lore that I feel like the best thing to do might be to not simply port the original existing campaigns (particularly since perfectly serviceable ports of them to WC3 have already been made by fans and posted onto Hive), but rather Blizzard might be advised to rewrite the campaigns - recycling rather than completely replacing or merely replicating the original maps - in order to give us a more accurate, up-to-date version of the events. Not to mention being able to apply Blizzardâs (âŚoverall) improvements in writing since twenty-three years ago.

I tried playing War2, wasnât so bad, but definitely nowhere near starcrat, or Warcraft 3 for that matter.
Starcraft 1 was huuuge huuge step forwards for Blizzard, just sayingâŚ
Been a fan of WC3 for as long as I remember and I would love to play WC1&2 reforged also as I would be great to relive the universe in HD graphics plus they can alter the story of WC1&2 as well(well a bit) as they are reforging after-all 
I would 10 /10 pay for this sh!t.

I played WC1, but that was so long ago I canât really remember. I know I had fun, but it still was an okay game compared to WC2, which I still play sometimes (I played the campaign again last year).
As much as I like WC3, WC2 was always the best IMO for MP games (or even just vs AI since back then I did not have internet). Some sequels are direct upgrades, but itâs not the case. They are two great different games. WC3 is superior in many ways, but is still different and cannot replace WC2.
The vast majority of our players in this country have never played WC1 or WC2, and We are looking forward to learning more about the game by playing the frozen throne of warcraft 3 (the unique shops of the four RACES, the attack/defense restraint system, etc.)
Warcraft 1 & 2 are greatest games ever. I hope (as millions fanâs around the world) that Blizzard read this topic and make reforged/remastered version of that games as soon as possible. Also I hope to see Warcraft 4 rather than anorher addon to WOW.
