Version 2.0.4 PTR Build 23364

Please do something about night elves spamming bear/dryad in every solo matchup. There is absolutely no strategy in this, and it is valid counterplay to almost everything.

NE is in general not that popular right now, so that’s probably getting in the way of probably needed adjustments.

its obiously, but never happen, because balance advising is fully handled by ne discord and grubby.

So only hum and ud is for nerfs,

ne disc and grubby are not going to nerf races they play for lol

yep, lets keep ne buff madness going on

its should be 60(75) sec as all master upgrades, ne already have t2 heavy armor unit

How would this inflate stats and result in stomping on noobs? They’d literally pair an above average RT team vs a mediocre AT team to offset the AT team coördination advantage. W3C has exactly this method and last time I checked the AT vs RT matches are very close to 50% winrate.

These are not nearly big enough changes to BALANCE the OVERPOWERED HUMBAN race. Also REMOVE 1 DAMAGE FROM RIFLEMAN, REMOVE 1 DAMAGE FROM FOOTMAN AND REMOVE 3 DAMAGE FROM WE ALL LEVELS.

But now comes the real test, because the forum will be flooded with CHINESE complaining about HUMAN being weak again. Atleast now we know its coming.

These are goods changes but BUFF to healing salve is not needed and should not be implemented. Too strong and promotes more uninteractive blade master play.

Still no nerfs to DEMON HUNTER and bears+dryad combo. Blizzard? wtf lol

I suggest making ghoul have 11 damage, but attack cooldown of 1.4. This nerfs players like happy ( which is all u care about ) cause now he can no longer kite as efficiently with the unit but for weaker players (the 50 other people that main UD) its fair.

Wyrm should not get reduced build time, but the building should be cheaper instead and have less build time. This simply promotes mass wyrm when we simply want to make wyrm viable. Bad. Do my change instead.

Good nerf. This unit was too OP.

Not okay. The BoF should align with the animation. Now we have this BROKEN spell that once again flies all over screen and new players dont understand how it hit them (they think desync, bug etc.) Bad change.

Finally a good patch for once, but as it stands it will not go through? Why? Just watch this thread and the forum BLOW up in the coming days, particularly from CHINESE. They will cry and cry for NELF buffs AND revert HUMAN NERFS. But also cry about ORC NERFS and UD nerfs again. So the final patch will probably remove 1 damage from ghoul, revert rifleman and WE nerf and that will be the PATCH. LOL!

It’s honestly funny how they’re fixing AT vs RT, but they’re not fixing matchmaking, not adding timeouts for leavers, and not addressing AFK players. How is this supposed to work well if the main issues aren’t even fixed? It makes no sense.

This is exactly what I said in another post I made: Blizzard seems to be slowly destroying their own game so they can stop putting work into it.

They keep fixing races when the game itself is already in a really bad state, without fixing the core problems first. For any of this to work, shouldn’t the main issues be fixed first?

There are cheaters using several Warcraft Reforged accounts so they can queue and match with their main account. If they don’t end up in the same game, they leave. If they do end up in the same game, they team-kill or feed their main account.

For any changes to work at all, YOU NEED TO FIX THE MAIN ISSUES OF THE GAME.

What should be fixed:

• MMR is completely broken.
Everyone should start from scratch with level, stats, and progress. After that, matchmaking can be based on MMR and player stats. That would be much better.

• Fix the level system.
New players need to see progress. I’m stuck at level 0–1 after over 100 matches, which makes absolutely no sense.

• Timeouts for leavers and AFK players.
This would reduce cheating and reduce the number of games ruined by people leaving or going AFK.

• Automatic kick for AFK players.
If someone is AFK for more than 15 seconds, they should be kicked so another player can take over.

So how is this AT/RT change even supposed to work if none of the issues above are on your list? It makes zero sense. It feels like everything is just a loop—we’re going back to how it was before.

And just one thing for all the AT lovers: remember my words. This will make fewer people play, especially when matchmaking doesn’t even work and there are no penalties for leavers. It’s just the same loop all over again.

It’s honestly funny how people are so happy about something that clearly won’t work if the main issues aren’t fixed first. I really can’t see how this means they’re fixing the game at all.

Like I’ve said in my other posts, this isn’t real progress. Blizzard isn’t moving forward they’re just going backwards. It’s the same cycle all over again. They change one system, people get excited and think the game is being fixed, but in reality nothing fundamental has changed.

The core problems are still there: broken matchmaking, broken MMR, no punishment for leavers, no real solution for AFK players, and no action against people abusing multiple accounts. As long as these issues exist, any surface-level change like AT vs RT adjustments won’t improve the actual gameplay experience.

This is why it feels like a loop.
Change something → players get hopeful → problems stay the same → player base gets frustrated → repeat.

Without fixing the foundation of the game, every new “fix” is just temporary noise. It gives the illusion of progress, but the same problems keep ruining matches, pushing players away, and shrinking the community.

Until Blizzard starts addressing the core systems instead of recycling old solutions, nothing will really improve. It’s not a fix it’s just the same loop, again and again.

We don’t even have report buttons, and that alone makes it feel like they don’t care about the game at all. If players can’t report someone for MMR manipulation, intentional leaving, or feeding their main account, then there’s zero accountability.

Right now, people can abuse multiple accounts, leave games to boost their main account, and inflate their stats just so they can flex them. And there’s nothing you can do about it. No report system, no penalties, no consequences.

When a game doesn’t even give players the basic tools to report cheating or griefing, it sends a clear message: these problems aren’t a priority. And without enforcement, all the changes they make, matchmaking tweaks, AT/RT changes, balance updates, mean nothing. The system is being abused, and the game quality keeps getting worse.

You can’t expect matchmaking or MMR to work when players are openly manipulating it and there’s no way to report or punish them. Until Blizzard adds proper reporting tools and actually enforces rules, this will keep happening, and the game will stay stuck in the same broken loop.

You forgot to add RAIDS by chinese on the forum that cry about the state of balance. Thats the third player. Watch the forum in the coming days it will be funny.

This is not quite right. NE is overwhelmingly the most popular race due to being second strongest but also, by far, the easiest race.

What an absurd statement. ORC has the strongest late game hero combo in the game. Blademaster casts coil nova with every auto attack and hex+stomp+BM coil nova is a death sentence and free win for the orc player lmao.

Play on a level playing field? Nvm elf is still WAY too strong atm and it need nerfs for sure after the recent buffs.

Full screen aoe cant hit anything? okay lmao

The Master Training research time change is a really good adjustment. For so many years it was extremely hard to tech up to master units, and no one ever used it — now maybe they finally will sometimes. Overall, it looks like a good patch. They could also slightly nerf the Demon Hunter’s Immolation and maybe buff some of the unused neutral heroes: Tinker, Alchemist, and Pit Lord.

I strongly believe that they have more insight than you do regarding how many players played before AT vs RT was allowed and now that it’s not. Also, there are noobs in AT just like in RT, there are good players in AT just like in RT, and you can get paired with anyone now. If you play RT, you can get 2 or 3 partial team players who are really good and play against a full AT. This change is completely necessary because right now you can’t play 4v4 with friends (imagine a TEAM MODE in which you can’t play with friends, where is the logic in that?). Last night, my two friends and I tried 3v3 AT, and guess what, we played 2 games against the same team, and after that, we searched for a game for 20 minutes and didn’t find any, so we just turned off the game. I believe many others are doing the same when they can’t find a match. RT vs. RT is already bad, and this change will allow you to have partial teams where you can actually play the game and not get 2 leavers or TK because partial teams or full teams are not going to leave or TK because they want to win. They addressed the communication advantage of AT by giving them MMR weight, and they can always adjust it more. This change is really necessary because the player base for AT is just not big enough and is NEVER balanced if you get lucky enough to find a game because the matchmaking just finds you the first team that also searches for a game. That team can be 3000 MMR higher than you or lower it does not matter.

For me, this is a great change and makes sense because TEAM MODES should be played mostly with friends. If you don’t want that, why not just play 1v1? They tried for over a year to separate AT vs. RT and probably saw that AT couldn’t find matches.

Also, in Champions, you can play partial AT and nobody is complaining.

Overall I see a lot of +1 here -1 here what is good for the game overall.
Many of ideas behind such shifts are clear for me at least.

Except:

I see the idea of reducing dependency from shadow hunter / healing fountain OR makes orcs stronger in early game/harass/creeping/items stealing. In case of the first - this will not help.

Even opposite - it makes orcs stronger in a wrong moment where the are already kinda good like solo hero harass.

If this is the idea (like you want the position in few next patches that hu/ud never expand vs orc) then yes, make it 7 seconds and good luck to expo vs orc with full hp bm in 1 ww, but in general it will not fixing healing issue. As well as wd master training buff (even if i see that it was done for consistency for tier 3 upgrade been 60 seconds).

There is 2 types of healing - incombat and outofcombat. And the problem for orcs that they have only 1 reliable incombat healing - shadow hunter. Without him you can play, don’t get me wrong but this 5 seconds change nothing.

Overall I don’t see the reason behind this, except stronger harass vs something like paly rifles/fast expo etc what is weird. It was never a problem for orc already, almost no one can expand on small maps consistently vs orcs anyway.
Kinda reasonable change but not sure how it will reduce dependency from SH and change anything because for almost every race - early game vs orc is to survive until t2 anyway (for hu/ud with expo sometimes) and orcs aren’t like hu/ud - they cannot end the game in such short term usually.

The idea here was that NE can fast adapt, build them and push fe or something. Problem here that it solves nothing sadly.
Don’t get me wrong - this buff helps and it needed. The problem here is like with frost wyrm (will talk about it later) it changes nothing at all.
I can see that if some big changes are coming overall that this build time in combination of something else will revive this unit from the graveyard but in current state - it will not.
Unit could have 5 seconds build time but if unit itself is bad - you will not invest into it except some very strange situations.
Unit requires some strong changes, build time in this patch is to make empty noise.

Again - changed nothing. FW is good unit - very good. But what problem it solves? It gives you slow and high magic dmg.
You already have “slow” solution because of DK aura, nova, frost armor, impale, range armies, web (vs air armies), frenzy and even banshee/necros give you some slow like mechanics. High magic damage is also questionable because heavy armor not in the meta because of range meta (ye weird but how it is, range units dont waste time on moving to targets). Destroyers also way more versatile and they kinda fit this role anyway.
I don’t know what to do with wyrms tbf. For NE Chim gives high magic damage when NE lacks of it. For undead it is not the case. Slow is not the case because undead has enormous amount of chaise / kite hardcore (aka uncounterable) mechanics already.
You just don’t need it. Yes vs NE with high lvl DH sometimes you build it, should I explain why? but overall even vs ne it is kinda useless.
This change again - empty noise/waisted paper.
FW needs some sort of a rework but i have no idea what to do yet.

overall:

I’m worried that you just grab random suggestions without actually refining them by yourself.
A lot of this things were suggested by Grubby and its fine. Making master training all 60 or less seconds is good.
But some of his suggestions like Glaive Throwers or Frost Wyrm build times only shows the lack of understanding behind the unit and how race plays them.
Overall patch looks solid but the lack of ideas and source limitation scares me more then paly rifles meta.
Don’t get me wrong but 50% of changes look like shuffling deck chairs or busywork instead of actually refreshing the game for a new year to come.
Anyaway - thumbs up for a lot of good changes like banshee animation or cliffs but you should understand that people are waiting for some real changes and overall meta stucked in a 15 years limbo a bit.

Again, in this PTR build same thing. Is it just me or anyone else has same problem?

Fiends didn’t get buffed, aboms didn’t get buffed, gargs didn’t get buffed, destroyers didn’t get buffed, meatwagons didn’t get buffed - in short, another useless update that will make all the other races stronger, while setting Undead back a hundred steps.

At least the ghouls were buffed a bit, and wyrms now build a little faster. But these are homeopathic changes that won’t really affect the gameplay.

I won’t comment on the changes to the Wand of Negation because it’s a complete joke.

Please buff heroes like the Dreadlord that never see any serious play in high lvl 1v1.

@Kaivax can you make at least 1 good orc patch once in 20 years?

Just look at the amount of top orc players on w3champions, very few remained.

Just give more buffs to orc to make the race more enjoyable and nerf demon hunter, dryads and bears like many players ask for.

Humans and elfs are with the current patch absolutely stronger compared to Orcs and UD - just do something about it.

Thanks for your attention.

3 peasant TR It will become popular

most popular = easiest = strongest
most popular,TED,SWEET, The world’s number one HAPPY also agrees that there cannot be more, as they were all former NE players, which shows the popularity of NE
The strongest, the easiest, and they also agree that there can be no more. They once spent precious time practicing NE,they have gained nothing.Just wasted a period of youth time

Yeah they should instead take suggestions from anti-elf whiners at 1500 w3c mmr.

How about this: We are still missing adjustment to Blademaster and Raiders, they are too powerful and need some nerfs. BM agi needs to be nerfed because he’s a one man army with mirror images. Raider ensnare should last 1s less and have 2s more cd, it’s like free entangling roots that hits air, magic immune units, and can’t be dispelled, no fair!

If every race gets nerfs on par with that, we can talk about nerfing dryad bears.

Btw Grubby put raiders in S tier as arguably the best unit in the game, and he put bears in A tier.
