The movement speed of the base unit is 270. Previously, the design of lich270 speed was anchored to the base unit, and the base unit speed remained unchanged
Lich used to be a very powerful hero,
It should have been nerf originally, but if the speed is increased, it should be nerf by a greater margin

The speed of all four heroes in NE has not changed at all
NE, one of the four player races in WAR3, has seen a slight increase in heroes. Your statement is a complete lie, purely intended to deceive people

The Elf heroes, few units and buildings need buff and rework.
  1. Demon Hunter: base agility increase from 21 to 22.
  2. Keeper of the Grove: Keeper of the Grove base Intelligence increase from 18 to 19, and Entangling Roots cast range on 700 with lvl 2.
                             So now about units.

Dryads: Buff Abolish damage. Damage against summoned units increase from 250 to 300 and buff mana regen.
Mountain Giant: produce Mountain Giants without shop. Hardened Skin upgrade costs reduce from 100 gold 175 wood to 50 gold and 100 wood. Food cost reduce from 7 to 6.

                             Now about the buildings

Tree of life: buff Nature’s Blessing Armor Bonus on +2.
Nature blessing gold and wood cost reduce from 150 gold 200 wood to 100 gold and 170 wood.

Holy, the classic menu and campaign backgrounds now look fully 3D rendered? This is awesome. How was that change not even in the patch notes? Thank you!

Cannon towers and mechanical critters need help. They are pretty terrible in non-FFA.

Also bear/dryad is an anti-everything strategy,in every matchup.

The DK ultimate change is exciting, but if it reveals itself to be OP i would suggest giving the animated dead chaos damage instead.

NE and Orc are generally in a good spot but I think UD is under performing based on statistics. Happy is the only outlier because he is just that good.
And HU is still OP with Pala Rifles.

On the balance I would like to suggest just a few things if you happen to read my post.

  1. Siphon mana should have a cap on how much it can siphon. For example:
    lvl 1 - 50, lvl 2 - 75, lvl 3 - 100 (I also still don’t get why holy light is only 65 mana while coil is 75) AND HU have clarity potions. I also share the sentiment of many that rifles are too good overall, mostly because of their very short wind-up time. Allowing for very efficient stutter-stepping.

  2. Decrease ziggurat summoning time by about 3 seconds.
    My reasoning: all the races can begin training their 1st hero more or less at the same time as the altar is finished except for UD. I find this quite unfair tbh and considering that UD is also the only race that doesn’t have clarity potions in their shop perhaps they could use a quality of life buff.
    As it is now, the optimal build for UD is crypt + altar, followed by zigg after first acolyte. Once the altar is done you have to wait around 6 seconds before you can start training your hero. There is also quite a delay with your 4th ghoul because of the second ziggurat also lagging behind.
    I really feel like this is highly unfair as the build of altar + ziggurat is quite sub optimal as you need the crypt to make lumber ghouls too.

  3. Decrease mana cost for Anti magic shell
    Since this spell has been nerfed and made dispelable, it has become rather weak and under utilized. Consider the fact that you would spend 300 mana to put AMS on 4 units and one priest can remove all of it with 2 dispels (a cost of 150 mana). Also 2 whisp detonates will remove it while also burning mana in the process.

  4. Allow UD to build the slaughterhouse without a graveyard. I’ve seen many games being won by repeatedly canceling the graveyard which completely stifles UD as they in practice can only make ghouls without it (temple is useless without statues anyway). I think it should still be a requirement to have the graveyard to make statues but if you can start constructing the slaughterhouse before finishing the graveyard it would be a bit easier for UD to recover in these situations. Orc and HU can play various strats without war mill / blacksmith and NE can place Huntress Hall freely on the map, but UD can’t do much without the graveyard and must place it on blight which means it is easy to keep sniping it as you know where to look.

  5. DH mana burn range should be shorter, this hero is just too good at everything and it’s too easy to run around burning mana all the time. Make it a bit more of a risk and not just an auto mechanic part of the game.

  6. Make KOTG a strength hero so he scales better into the late game. And perhaps make entangle do some more damage at lvl 2 & lvl 3.

  7. Make naga frost arrow lvl 1 weaker. I think we are all tired of seeing this hero in every game, seriously…

  8. I like the thought behind panda change but perhaps a middle ground is better. So the range should be closer to the animation but slightly outside of it.

  9. Maybe we need to make huntresses a bit better without the T2 upgrade to make them playable at high level

footman is a heavy armor unit, don’t understand why the speed boost. looks like someone loves Human in the devs.

Hello, greetings :sunglasses:. Thank you for the many performance changes and optimizations brought by ptr this time. As a player who often battles with AI, I mainly focus on standard battle maps with 12 or more players. However, when there are more than 8 AI players, it is easy to experience game level crashes. Icecrown, as the official most classic 12 player map, has a high probability of crashing. There are also other unofficial maps with a size greater than 196 × 196, which may cause crashes due to AI pathfinding mechanisms. Therefore, please test them on a large map, such as the melee between AI players and the continuous cycling of single player actions. This will be very helpful for single player players and will attract more players to join. Thank you :sunglasses:

The insane AI are somewhat silly, the undead race with reworked graphics take away a lot of fps and more when the seer uses his ulti in infested terrain, in addition to that any undead AI or even players if they get a mine expansion, everyone will go after him, things change if you choose orc, human, elf you can get a thousand expansions and no stupid AI will attack you, could you correct that? Why is preference given to any race except the undead

When you cover the haunted gold mine on top, all the guys on the map will attack you, and the entanglement of the Night Elves is actually the same. Each race’s AI has its own bugs :sunglasses:

I seems like many people said - the DR pick is the skeletons/body denying +silence role.
Changes to the drain could be done in 2 ways - buff this spell to hilarious values or make a new niche for it.
The first way is obvious - make it X less mana, less cd etc etc.
But even if drain will cost 0 mana it will be not enough in the most cases.

Niche way could be more interesting like health-drained-transferred rate (like 2x/3x/4x dr health) (lose consistency tho) or both other abilities apply during the cast - skeleton orb + silence if learned. So DR could drain + silence at the same time.

There are many ways but this direction looks better then just buffing stats. You already did a great job Blizzard by adding deepness to it with healing aspect - continue this way then.

One thing I don’t understand is why team games aren’t being fixed. There are a lot of players leaving matches, and many AT groups are complaining. Matchmaking is still a problem too. This will cause more people to quit the game, unless that’s actually the intention, to make them leave and go play World of Warcraft instead.

But if the goal isn’t to make people leave, then maybe it’s time to introduce timeouts for leavers. For example:

  • First time leaving: 1-minute timeout
  • Second time: 3 minutes
  • Third: 5 minutes
  • Fourth: 10 minutes
  • Fifth: 30 minutes
  • Then 1 hour, and after that maybe even 1 day

Something like that could help improve the experience for everyone.

And like i have mention before about the AT vs RT

The other day I faced a 4900 MMR player, and somehow he was only going up against 3000 MMR players, not even facing opponents in his own bracket. Of course his stats look good! Either this guy has found a way to manipulate the MMR system, or the system is just broken—I don’t know which.

The new shaders seem buggy. In Classic HD+, the menu becomes washed out when I go to create a custom game. In game, many effects (smoke, spells) become square and in campaign cutscenes, the trees become white. Also, even if it’s fixed, would probably prefer to turn them off.

BTW also managed to still get into MP custom game when going into campaigns → opening a bunch of different campaign menus, then going back and clicking custom game (in the single player menu still).

but in general it still makes 0 sense. If you don’t want to make spam-sit-down commands (insta dodges based on ticks what is a cool micro mechanic still but ye, could lead to problems and frustration gameplay) then at least make archer sit command and hippo dismount command on different CD.
Right now time between cycle is 10 seconds (mount+5sec+dismount+5sec+mount again)
it makes sense that archer mount command is 5 seconds but it doesn’t make sense why dismount command is 5 seconds.
In case when archer mount command is 5 seconds (logic as well - require more time then dismount) dismount should be shorter. If you don’t like 0 then at least 1.

so mount hippo 5 seconds - cool. dismount - better to set to 1.
so cycle will be 6 seconds.

but I also understand that this could be frustration to play against, so this is the minor thing.

overall huge W for everything in this patch.

thanks that new update, we highly appreciate your work. As a mac user I want to highlight that there is still a bug with the mini map for mac users. The mini map is blue/black and it’s really annoying to play like this. Can the support team please check this issue?

I confirm this issue. M1 Pro MacBook Pro (2021).

Basically right now I have to keep the mini-map in state with black background.

If I change it to the colorful state, the mini-map doesn’t actually show the map, but rather starts to flash awkwardly between a black-ish and blue-ish color.

Please fix observer bug for replays: when you watch a replay through advanced observer mode, you cant watch the game from the perspective of the observers who were in the game

Important Fixes and Additions to Avoid Losing More Players:

  1. Level System – Make sure new players can actually level up. No one should be stuck at level 0 forever.
  2. Progression for Pros – Make levels above 60 much harder to reach, depending on which players they face, MMR, etc.
  3. AT vs RT Matches – Bring back Arranged Teams vs Random Teams. To keep it fair, give RT some advantages, like facing opponents with 500 MMR more. At higher ratings, maybe reward RT players with bonus gold.
  4. Timeouts for Leavers – Add a timeout system for players who leave games. Each leave within 24 hours should increase the timeout length.
  5. Prevent Multi-Client Abuse – Make it so players can’t open more than one Warcraft III window at the same time.
  6. Skin Unlocks – Require players to win a certain number of games to unlock skins. But allow costum players to use the skins in custom games for free.
  7. Reset Stats After Fixes – Once matchmaking and the core game are properly fixed, reset all player stats. This would make the ranking pictures more meaningful, since many players earned them through games with lots of leavers and some got more luck then others.

These changes could help bring many players back to the game.

And please remember this game isn’t only for solo players. Many people enjoy Random TeaM as well. It feels like Blizzard is only focusing on solo and custom game players right now. Please take team game players seriously too.
