Tinker Clockwerk Goblins as non-combat scouts

Dear Blizzard - playing Tinker first is a lot of fun, but it needs some help early game, especially vs really strong players. I’ve made some other suggestions over the past few months on how to improve the Tinker. Here is another idea.
How about adding an ability to Clockwerk Goblins that turns them from combat units with short life span to non-combat scout units with same life span as an undead skeleton. Once it turns into a scout unit, it cannot go back to being a combat unit, and it does not have any combat abilities (attack, explode etc)
The Clockwerk Goblin must be manually selected and ability clicked in order for them to turn into scouts. This would give the Tinker valuable extra scouting ability (e.g. send the clockwerk goblins to check for expansions, creep locations, tech) that it desperately needs early game.
