Sound settings do not save

I have a problem where the sounds settings I choose don’t save correctly. The UI imply that my options were saved, but the actual gameplay is unaffected.

For example, if I disable “Unit Sounds” and restart the game, the checkbox is still empty, but I will hear unit responses whenever I select them in-game. I experience the same bug for “Ambient Sounds” and disabling “Music”.

In order to fix this, I have to check and then uncheck again each of those boxes on a daily basis. The settings seem to reset whenever I restart the game or put my computer to sleep and log back in after being disconnected.

Hi, if you have windows 10, try and disable protected folders.

  1. Open the Windows Security app by clicking the shield icon in the task bar or searching the start menu for Defender .
  2. Click the Virus & threat protection tile (or the shield icon on the left menu bar) and then click Ransomware protection .
  3. Set the switch for Controlled folder access to off .

That option is already off.
