I’ve already uninstalled the game and decided to keep it that way. Don’t want to hurt my theoretical refund eligibility anymore headbanging my keyboard while the game crashes one more time.
Also, I also have framerate problem and no, it’s not my PC’s fault. If I can play WoW and Rainbow Six Siege @1440p ultra settings then it’s not my PC’s fault.
No one cares about shill “reviews”. I’m talking about the reports on the situation not so-called “professional” reviews.
Mass reviews (i.e., the general consensus) is a way better indicator of a game than game “journalists” or whatever you want to call them.
What is the point of this thread? You’re just a fanboy outraged that people dare give a game you like deservedly bad reviews.
The masses voted for an orange in the US.
So, I wouldn’t say that the masses are a good indiciator for smart behaviour.
Nevertheless, I would say that Blizzard should get punished for their release-behaviour and their non-existing reaction to the debacle which is happening right know.
…this isn’t politics. The two aren’t comparable.
Yes, not necessarily, but they are an indicator of who likes something and why.
As much as it bothers you, our work is done, the note is irrelevant and deleting it would only cause damage.
The important thing is the precedent, the one that the community provoked is not like that of Pokemon or KH that is willing to receive garbage again and again.
Although you deny it and squirm this has affected sales and has attracted carrion birds.
We are not trolls and haters who want to see the world burn. We are the W3 fans who feel disappointed by the blizz acts.
The only troll here are those who defend this garbage by layer and sword.
Agree.
I just wanted to say that most of the persons who are currently downvoting WarCraft 3 on metacritic are just acting like a herd.
Despite my efforts of getting a normal argumentation with someone he just ignored every single argument, e.g. the copyright argument in custom-games.
Blizzard need to prohibit the use of copyrighted assets otherwise they are the persons who are liable for it.
I’m not trying to defend Blizzard at all, but for some changes they shouldn’t get blamed.
Blizzard is lucky Metacritic doesn’t allow negative score.
no but its pretty funny and that is what matters most imo
For all that doesn’t think this will do something, go look at Activision Blizzard stock.
I rated the game 0. I would of rated it -1000 if I could.
Anyone saying this isn’t having an impact, the game’s biggest meme is WC3 Refunded, you don’t think hitting them in the wallet is impactful?
I’ll be happy when it’s down to 0.1. There’s more work to be done, people!
Only idiots think that way. Stupid is as stupid does …
This time of review bombing is fair. Now if one of the devs came out as a homophobe and people downvoted it for that then it wouldn’t be fair at all. But since it’s to do with tha actual game then it’s fair.
I’m not, actually. It needs to be even closer to zero. You need to stop treating corporations like they’re people with feelings.
You’re so out of touch that you can’t even garner ONE like on your comment from THESE forums.
Meanwhile, the reply directly below yours has over 20.
And it’s not review bombing if it’s true.
It doesn’t take a fanboy to be objective.
- start with original WC3 review score of say 9
- better graphics that are reasonable for 2020 means score maintained
- no ladder/profiles. Score drop 1 to 2 points
- too many bugs impacting players drop 1 to 2 points.
- did game mechanics not age well? I dont think many argue this but let’s say 0 to 0.5 points lost
We therefore get get a new score of 4.5 to 7. No where close to 0.
Who knows?
Reforged isn’t a bad game, by any means. However it feels like it was released half-cooked, unless all you want to do is play the campaigns.
If we’ve learned anything, Blizzard are so big and ponderous that the only way to get them to fix anything is to rain hellfire and brimstone down upon them online. Remember the Diablo 3 release?
As far as “Better graphics reasonable for 2020” this would still be a -1, massive animation and clipping in general, white lines around all units and portraits, static like background to make old box T.V.'s and their rabbit antennae jealous makes this game look worse then the squared edges.
Breaking the original game and forcing terrible updates on players while removing far more then they even promised to add, even heavily affecting everyone who didn’t buy WCR -3 minimum.
Having animations, dialogue (Dryads I’m so wasted line being pulled out along with others), and loss of UI functionallity, Bnet issues, can’t connect/stay connected, can’t pause or save games against ui opponents as solo player, etc.) I’d give that at least a -2 or -3 in your scoring.
Now add in ALL intellectual rights stolen from map creators and modders to then be claimed as Acti/Blizz to the point that you can suddenly loose all rights to your creation at a whim and they can choose its direction henceforth, and also be punished if you don’t continually create updates for said stolen creation UNCOMPENSATED ON THE MAKERS PART if they don’t feel like doing the hard work of taking care of your brain child = -5 in my books. Ya people “Review bombing” this game with a 0-2 I think are well merited since the only good thing updated was the visuals, that again were done far better in SC2 mods 3 years ago…
This game was made great by the community and Acti/Blizz has snuffed it out at launch. Trying to be an apologist without reading into how this has affected the community as a whole and claiming a 0 is unmerited is daft. I bet that within 2 months this game will be dead unless they change the new EULA for the simple reason that their is only so much campaign or ladder one can play before growing severely bored, cus what map maker or modder worth their salt is gonna bend over and take it up the a$$ w/o lube? Love for a series or franchise only goes so far and when I can have legal repercussions taken against me for failing to be slave chattel to blizz I’m going to take my maps, mods, and ideas and leave!
