PTR Version 1.36.1 Notes -- Updated November 9

Thank you for working on this game.
If i may suggest a few ideas:

  • Blademaster & Brewmaster critical multiplier changed to a flat damage bonus, to reduce the variance in extreme highest & lowest performances from having (or lacking) hero items and levels.
  • Dreadlord buff, either in movement speed or mana regen.
  • Consider moving the HP Regen buff from DK Unholy aura to Dreadlord Vampiric aura.
  • Crypt Lord Carapace passive to provide strong health regen instead of the dubious reflect damage.
  • Abomination buff, perhaps Resistant Skin or better baseline stats.
  • Shades to provide “flying” vision, as if they were an air unit… or make them an air unit.
  • Auto cast option for necromancer Unholy Frenzy spell
  • Cheaper & faster Exhume Corpses research
  • Sacrificial Dagger to have a greater healing effect on the Dreadlord, Pit Lord and Crypt Lord hero.

I tried PTR and my framerate is still really bad and lots of stuttering.

Fix wrong music playing during and raise/remove limits for map makers like maximum tilesiets, cliff types, map size, inventory items, selected units and hero spells.

Keep a good work blizzard love Talons nerf i hope maybe cyclone nerf to not be able to target Hero units…

As an Orc player i stooped playing wc3 because Talon strategy vs Orc Ty for patching the game… :slight_smile:

Casters should be support unit to supplement regular units not main army unit…(Bad broken design)

Hello,
I would suggest to add a simple features which is displaying races in game on screen that displayed names (the one you launch using F11).
Of course it would be “starting screen races” so Random would be displayed as Random :slight_smile:

When you aggregate these stats, REMOVE happy from the stats. Happy is a better player than all the others.

These percentages have different denominators and you just cannot add them up or average them. Average percentages with different denominators just don’t make mathematical sense. For example, the sample size for NE games is higher than the other races. That means these high winning percentages NE players have seem to be more statistically significant than other matchups.

But it’s about the only thing he’s good at, the rest of his kit is forgettable and he’s a big fat glowing orange target in a fight. He deserves better

Again paladin was addressed wrong direction , he needs movement speed , he can be bullied in start as first hero & dies so fast. If paladin gets 320 movement speed he will be playable as human first hero

so reset devotion aura
even nerf divine sheild more
but on the other hand buff paladin movement speed from 290 to 320
this will make paladin to play his roll as a first standard hero

move speed is top tier wc3 stat.
Need much more nerfs to buff movespeed, than just reset aura and divine shield

Yeah agree. Orb of Venom is cheapiest orb and the only item which stacks with previous attacks. Look very imbalanced

Only after when his 1st skill will be 75 mana and will have projectile speed as DK Coil . Yeah and Divine shield will be not Divine😀

As an experienced Warcraft 3 player since 2005, I would like to share my thoughts on the game after watching/reading the feedbacks from all casters/semi and full-time pros.

Please find my analysis and recommendations below :

Currently the 2 most imbalanced MU are :

NE > ORC and NE > HU which clearly shows that NE should be slightly adjusted to make the game balanced.

Neutral :

Item Crystall Ball should be reworked
Idea 1: reveal time should be doubled to make it useful as currently almost everybody is selling it.
Idea 2: double the reveal zone radius
Idea 3: Keep the reveal of hidden units even if they go outside the radius zone
Best idea would be a mixture of the 3 ideas above.

Item - The algorythm for auras’ drops should be reworked based on the race of the players. Item drops should include only auras that both races don’t have by nature of their race. For ex if a HUM player is playing vs UD, the The Lion Horn of Stormwind item drop should be removed and a NE or ORC aura should drop instead.

Increase aura drops by at least 25% to encourage creeping, too many rings drops that are not fun at all.

Item availability time in the shops could be changed to bring some fresh air. Many pro players know them by heart and little changes/adjustments would make it more fun. For ex: add +10 sec for boots to appear in shop, reduce dust availability by 10 sec.

Nightelf :

Reduce Tier 1 Unit Production Speed :
Slightly slow down the production speed of Night Elf Tier 1 units, such as Huntresses or Archers, to give Orc players more time to prepare and counter.
For example by 2 seconds. In most cases NE players are going for 2 or even 3 AoW anyway.

Moon Wells: Healing Rate: Slightly reduce the rate at which Moon Wells replenish health and mana. This would make it more challenging for Night Elf to heal and sustain their Tier 1 units constantly.

Druid of the talons need nerf of the Attack range in Crow from 600 to 500.

Wisps
1/ by exploding they should dispell both friendly and enemy spells (currently it’s bugged as they only remove enemy’s spell)
2/ should not be able to hide on trees in a way that it’s impossible to be killed by melee unit

Heroes like Dread Lord, Priest of the Moon should be buffed to make them more “meta-friendly”.
Idea: +2 agility on both heroes.

Observations to current PTR adjustments:

Militia duration increased from 42.5 to 45 seconds – 42.5 seconds is optimal. Everybody agrees that HUM is already the best race for expansion. Militia duration is not the most important.

Bash Bonus Damage increased from 25/50/75 to 25/50/100 – ok, can be fun to watch

Bash Stun duration increased from 2/2/2 to 2/4/6 (1/2/3 for Heroes) - ok, can be fun to watch

Bash Chance reduced from 20/30/40 to 25/25/25 - ok

Devotion Aura reduced from 3/6/9 to 3/4/6 – Devotion is aleady imba, better put 2/4/6 to force the players to creep before pushing the ennemy base

Keep food increased from 12 to 14 - ok

Castle food increased from 12 to 16 - ok

Immolation activation cost increased from 5 to 10 – should be increased to 20 to force the NE player to care about that imba spell

Immolation damaged reduced from 6/11/17 to 5.5/11/17 – good change

Mana Flare range reduced from 750 to 650 – good change

Fan of Knives max total damage changed from 480/800/1200 to 375/ 750/1330 (Unit cap increased to 4/5/5 to 5/6/7) – controversive change, requires further testing

Druid of the Claw starting mana increased from 100 to 110 – not needed

Abomination collision size reduced from 48 to 40 - ok

Abomination turn rate increased from 0.4 to 0.5 – good change

Crypt Fiend turn rate increased from 0.5 to 0.6 – good change

Bladestorm damage reduced from 160 damage per second to 140 damage per second - – good change

Troll headhunter hit points increased from 350 to 375 – good change

Firelord Incenerate mana cost reduced from 6 to 2 – good change

Firelord Lava Split requirement reduced from 12 to 9 – could be too strong, I would go with 10

Firelord Volcano Damage increased from 100 to 150 - ok

Staff of Teleportation now has a stock of 2 charges in the shop - NOT needed

Crystal Ball moved from level 3 to 2 - ok

What is very important to notice is that all changes are related between each others and should all be implemented then tested till end of November.

Let’s make this patch to be the best and the most creative ever!

FL can summon three Lavas. If we only require nine hits to split, it is very easy for lave to split three times. That 322*2 = 24 Lavas. This is simply too many. Firelord Incenerate does need a buff, but 6 to 2 is 200% stronger, and it is too much. Perhaps make Incenerate mana cost to be 4. We don’t want to see Firelord in every HVO and NVH game. We want it to be a similar strength to Beastmaster. This buff will make Firelord tower rush to be a very strong cheese, and allow NVH to expand really early while the tech of elf is like 50% faster than human.

There are 3 imbalanced match ups: ud>elf,ud>hu,elf>hu.
Just check winrates of top 10 players.So below are changes,which i think should be made many years ago.
UD nerfs:
1)destros
850—>600hp
devour 50/75—>15/25 hp/mana ; cd 7—>15 sec

2)statues
500—>300hp ; HP healed 10—>5 per second

3)nova,frost armor and nerub tower/main
make ms slow=2,5 sec and -25% at all levels for both units and heroes

4)DK
coil manacost 70—>85—>100

5)fiends
web duration 12—>4 sec
burrow cast instantly,but cd 0—>30 sec and hp regen 5—>3 hp per second

Elf nerfs
1)DH
manacost/manaburn 20/40—>40/80—>60/120

2)increase cd of staff,reduce ms of dryads,but give them 300 manapool,make fairies 3 food,but increase their hp,talons fairy fire duration 70—>20 seconds,cyclone 20(6)—>10(3) seconds,nerf moonwells little bit

HU nerfs:
1)BM
sifon mana cast requirements 10—>50 mana,mana drained 15/25/40—>10/20/30 ; duration/cd 6/6—>5/10,range 800—>600

2)tanks 700—>500hp

My point is his summons are the only thing that makes him good. His other skills are pretty lacking, and they all get largely ignored.its not a good kit if he has one really strong skill and a bunch of not great ones.
