I would love you guys if we could get a toggle to remove “Added a countdown timer to the UI for construction and training” from the UI that was added in last years patch. Please and thank you

why? Just ignore it. And this is a feature request, not technical support.
No one’s forcing you to look at it and it doesn’t substanitally obstruct your view of the game.

Yes, I agree. As a very old-time player, I also find this annoying.
Please add an option to disable the construction countdown timer in the UI.

Sorry, I disagree. It’s small and unobtrusive, only affects replays, and adding too many options creates feature creep and raises the risk of more bugs in future updates.
And for the other person… I will decide what does and doesn’t concern me. I watch replays too, so yes, it does in fact concern me.
I understand your point about feature creep, but offering a simple toggle option usually has minimal impact on development and doesn’t have to affect other parts of the game.
Many players find the countdown timer distracting, so giving the choice to enable or disable it would improve the UI experience without forcing anyone to change how they play.
It’s a replay, not actual gameplay. if something is “distracting,” you can pause the replay until you’re able to gather everything you can from what’s happening at that moment.
There’s such a thing as too many options.
Players are used to the original interface after more than 25 years of playing the game.
When new UI elements are added, having an option to disable them makes sense.
You can use the old replay interface which doesn’t have this feature in that case. The old interface is still available. In fact, using the new interface is rather pointless if you don’t like the features it added.
