Patch 2.0.1.22498 - Low FPS/stuttering (+ workarounds)

Problem description: Before the update everything was alright, but after the update my FPS become unstable, I used to play with 200 - 300, and now when I reach some areas the FPS goes to 30, 40, 50…it’s definitely broken.

Tried workarounds: Running the game with -graphicsapi Direct3D12 command-line args

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D 8-Core Processor, 8 Cores,16 Threads
RAM: 32GB
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3080, 10GB
GPU driver version: 566.36
OS: Windows 11 (up-to-date)
Game display resolution: 3440x1440, but the problem is the same even at 1080p with up-scaling.
Game style: Reforged

Known potential workarounds

  • Run the game with command-line argument -graphicsapi Direct3D12:
    1. Select Warcraft 3 in Battle.net
    2. Next to the “Play” button click on the gear icon
    3. In the drop-down menu, select “Game Settings”
    4. In the pop-up dialog, check “Additional command line arguments”
    5. Copy -graphicsapi Direct3D12 in the field
  • On AMD graphic cards with integrated graphics, try disabling the integrated graphics card in AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition
