“We are aware of Mac users having issues” Are you? Really are you? Feeling a little neglected over here as I look over to my hubby as he is playing Warcraft III without any issues on his PC. Not to mention its the weekend.
Is anyone actually looking for a solution to this as this planned update didn’t seem so planned out that it caused Mac users to not be able to play the game. Or, how about rolling all of us back until you figure this out? Please just roll us back!
I am getting the following error:
* Corrupted file or missing file
Let’s do something about this rather than just letting everyone wait as it seems to us there is no sense of anything close to urgency for this.

It’s just a shame that we cannot even launch the game we love, other thank the freaking lag in Menu (not fixed in Mac, unlike Windows), They are not even allowing us to play.

The issue is known, sock puppet accounts making 45 threads on the same topic won’t produce a fix faster. If you’re so outraged, ask for a refund and find a game made by a dev that cares to play.
Yeah, there really is no excuse for NOT having a rollback feature. I’m usually one that cuts some slack for developers (me being one too), but this is neglect and apathy at its best. I mean to have a game delete critical files is pretty shoddy dev and then NOT provide any way to rollback is unacceptable.

In the same time they could “rollback” the game they could simply restore the missing files and properly fix the issue.
Though it’s admittedly as funny as it is sad that the company they more recently contracted the game out to is just as incompetent as Activision was lol… Like, it’s hard to to do worse and somehow somebody managed to do worse.

It’s almost like they could roll it back WHILE working to fix the new patch, then deliver the update when it actually works
Then again, that would require a bit of actual brainpower to conceive of and implement. As it is now I think an AI would fix the problem much better and easier than whatever humans are “actively looking for a fix.”

That requires pushing two updates though, and depending on their internal process, even pushing an update that does absolutely nothing entails more work than you would expect. Preparing new builds can be time consuming, and this is why generally games package bug fixes together into larger patches, rather than making tiny patches every time a bug comes up.
