Hey, in StarCraft 2 you can change every keybind in the game to suit you, I could use such thing in Warcraft 3, it makes it easier for me to controll my units or build things. I am used to having personalized keybinds in SC2, and overall when I play warcraft 3 it slows me down because I don’t remember all the keybinds. This would make it relatively simple for many new players. What do you think?

I’d say this should be standard functionality for any modern game. Not sure if it is included in the published improvements list though.

It’s kinda tricky and time consuming, but if you have patience u can configure the keys in war 3 with the “customkeys.txt” inside the directory.
If you dont wanna mess too much with it and want to try my configuration just ask and i can upload my grid style keybinds for you (i have 2 versions with the main difference being on spells: one has them set to qwer, and the other to zxcv ).
I don’t think I’ve heard about this, so thanks. I guess I’ll look into it. But I’d still prefer if it was possible in-game, so I am hoping WC3 Reforged will have this baked in

I just uploaded here the qwerKeys in case you realize its too tedious changing all keys by yourself:

copy this into directory and make sure to enable “custom keys” in options -> gameplay after you launched the game.
Does this also have buildings and units on the QWER layout? That would be a blessing covered in blessings.
It has everything binded and remapped accordingly
They said on some interview that they are looking into the keybind system, and very likely making it a lot more accessible. I hope (and believe) they implement a thing where you can make a button position specific hotkeys, instead of remapping each ability and command to a certain key.
