Keeps disconencting

Hi everyone,

So I play custom games and many times like if I play 5 hours, it disconnects me like 2-3 mid game and it ruins the game for the others as well, I tried so many things, idk if it is an internet or a w3 reforged problem, but please help me fix this…

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out regarding those disconnects. Let’s go ahead and have you run a ‘WinMTR’ network test while a disconnect occurs in-game so that we can further investigate potential network-related issues between your computer and the game server. Here are the instructions:

  1. Download the tool from this page
  2. Enter the game IP into the “host” field. The IP address for our games are listed on the WinMTR instructions page
  3. Start the test and play the game for at least 15 minutes. Ensure the problem happens while the WinMTR tool is running.
  4. After recording the problem data, click “export text” and save the WinMTR file in an easy to find location.
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the WinMTR. It’ll look like this:

Hey, Makkelinho! Thank you for including the WinMTR tests! The tests are showing that the problem is starting at the home network and there is a packet loss throughout the test.

Here is where the problem starts with the home network showing a 20% loss. The amount of loss from each peering varies quite a bit anywhere from 9% to 41%. This can indicate some home network issues or an unstable wireless connection.

If you are wireless, it may help to try a wired connection and if possible, try bypassing the router given that there is a separate modem and router. Run the test again and see if the packet loss persists on the home network after 10-15 minutes. If you want us to take a look again, feel free to share here.

As a note, with this starting at the home network, our support is fairly limited. We can offer some basics, but it’s recommended to contact the internet provider or the router manufacturer if it seems faulty or needing further assistance.

Another one disconnect post unsolved, again claiming the issue is on the customers end

same to me, disconnects every 15 minutes, no savings. i starting to hate this all

Diz2 - Please do not bump old threads. In this case, the WinMTR test provided shows concrete evidence that packet loss is occurring before the connection reaches the Blizzard network. If you wish to troubleshoot a suspected server-side issue, please start your own thread and include a WinMTR test while the problem occurs in-game.
