How was the undead in the alpha version?

i want to know what differs. i know that they only had 1 “town hall” but, what else was different?

From what I remember of watching some video talking about the differences between the beta and retail versions, Gargoyles had their own building called a Gargoyle Spire that never made it into the game.

Other than that, it seems like you built your heroes at your town hall.

Furthermore, the Necropolis actually had a pool surrounding it with some foul looking liquids. Y’know how they have those little waterfalls of green stuff? I always wondered where it ended up - now I know. In the giant pool. It was also sorta submerged in there when first built but as you upgraded it you’d see it rise more and more until it was the floating building you’ve come to know.

Dreadlord was not a melee fighter but an intelligence mage who was supposed to use blood magic. Bellow is a link of HiveWorkshop model of said dreadlord. You might be able to find some blurry pictures on google.

i said alpha, not beta. i already got a beta model of the necropolis.

nobody knows since blizzard deleted the alpha version. Everything is as good as hearsay. Make up how you wish the alpha version was, its the only way.

Edit: for years i hoped they would publish priestess of the moon riding the owl, because i decided I wanted that model file even if it is irrational to want it. Specifically i wanted the original, not fan remakes.
A maybe blizzard employee person said its probably deleted and i should give up on hope, basically

Everything was way beter before release, they did downscale the whole game.
