How to save wc3 reforged? solution

First of all my major problem with Reforged is a lack of players. Overall WC 3 Reforged is a good game in my opinion. But considering 1/10 Rating on Metacritic this is a negative advertising, which is very bad for community. For example, right now I cant find players to play a map I want. So why should I continue to make maps via editor and even login to this game? So my prediction is, situation will be getting worse every day. To save community and this game the only solution is to make custom games free (like in SC2), or to give new players FREE HOURS per Week/Month. So new players will test custom games, optimisation, graphics, and they will decide is it worth to get an license for 30 USD.
In my opinion the game is Worth 30 USD, only if there is a community of active players. But right now I am waiting like 15-30 min to find players for 1 custom game I want to play. Think about it… community is dying because of bad marketing, and bad reviews. Game itself is actually fun to play. Just introduce WC3 Reforged to new players as a positive advertising! Good Luck!

The reviews are both honest and a message to blizzard. This “upgrade” took away most the original games features and made the game must less stable. TFT worked perfectly, few things work correctly in Reforged.

yea and blizz made sure to tick all the boxes to keep new players out and even drive away long time fans of the game.

i dont think reforged can recover. no amount of patching can wash away that stink from the worst game launch of the century - i dont even think they can bring the game up to the quality of the original, let alone “improve” it, which would be the sole purpose of a remaster.

What needs to happen, is Blizzard actually fixing Reforged, and giving us back true Classic. And seemingly, they aren’t too willing to do that currently. Maybe if the game was dead enough though… Maybe.

It’s too little too late.

What needed to be done was a Sonic Movie style of action. Listen to the fans and feedback, hold back the product until the game is functional and the feedback is addressed, and release only when it’s ready. Anything less is just bad PR, and they fully deserve the blowback from the community. They killed all good will with the fans, and apologizing and promising fixes isn’t going to bring people back.

Free game time for a broken game is worthless. This really hurts the rest of the community who wants WC3’s legacy to be carried on.

The long and short of it is that Reforged will NEVER be the success it COULD have been. Poor decision making at Blizzard Entertainment saw to that. It can still be salvaged into an acceptable game with parity to TFT v 1.31, but given the current pace it will take up to another two years.

Bliizard’s problems as communication - There is not enough of it and it’s too impersonal with no actual acknowledgement or admission of fault from Blizz and therefore it comes off as insincere - and direction - Blizzard’s leadership is currently @#$% and may well break into the mobile market…but with a huge loss of revenue from core gaming, giving them no solid fallback if something were to happen to make that mobile market untenable or unstable.

Flagged as trolling.
I wish I could also block you, so I would not see any future “posts” of yours.

man, its over - this game won’t attract new players anymore. Better look for something else to play. I did play wc3 for 10 years but nothing stays forever.

Blizzard finally forged the tombstone for WC3!

I think, at this point, the only way Blizz could salvage this train wreck would be to make the game free. Not free to play. Just free. Download it and play single player, multiplayer, custom maps, doesn’t matter. Give everyone who bought it a refund.

They have shown basically zero good-will to their community lately. It is finally catching up with them.

It’s rated 1/10 because it deserves 1/10.

For every positive you could possibly come up with for WC3R, there are at least 3 negatives that were introduced that completely sour the entire experience.

As long as one tolerates people using classic graphics, there are a ton of players. If anything more players than Warcraft III had the same time last year. A lot of returning players even.

Try another region or time of day. Both EU and US servers vary from under 1 screen of lobbies to over 7 screens worth during peek times, every day.

Honestly I am surprised this has not happened. They first threw away TFT CD keys. It was natural progression that RoC ones would also be thrown away with everyone having access to classic for free. Like how people can play SC1 without paying.

Maybe it is because Warcraft III Reforged is still in development (a lot of features will arrive in future updates).

but who cares about future updates? from day to day, less and less players… almost all already moved for something else… tbh thank u for ur response, but ppl here are still w8ing for blizzards voice, not yours… who r u?

Killing the old Battle.net that WC3 TFT and RoC relied on was actually a cost reduction to Blizzard as they don’t have to support that platform anymore. If Reforged ends up getting shelved relatively quickly, the entire move just cut costs and generated some revenue for Reforged. As Reforged runs on the same platform as their other games, I believe they can reallocate their resources to match their active games. Reforged is therefore not going to cost as much in operation costs.

But that’s all speculation.

That ship has already sailed a while ago. Even if they manage to fix the bugs and integrate multiplayer features, those new players aren’t coming back.

The reviews are just a toxic nuclear plant of people that didn’t even play the game before and are just spreading hate to get views. Full of lies and inciting people to form the stupid hate mobs. That score in metacritic site is the most ridiculous score i ever saw in my life. It’s clearly unreal, inflatted, botted, manipulated. That score tells me more about metacritics site than about reforged.

They listened to the “fans”, that was their mistake. Fans didn’t even agree about what they want and can’t express themselves without the stupid irrational hate or hyper sensitivity over everything so listen to them was a very very bad idea. The result was a flood of #Nonochanges, “pc says no” and those lots and lots of stupid nonsense threads hating on the game, on development, in every aspect possible. If people just could’ve let them reforge the game like they originaly proposed, we wouldn’t have even half of the nuisance we came to experience during development nor now.

They should listen to fans, but they should also communicate their intentions and make it crystal clear to the community.

Bait and switch is unacceptable. Fans are always going to be divided, so no matter what there will always be divisive feedback. No matter what they do, someone will get their way and someone else won’t, so ‘fan feedback’ is absolutely relative. Its not something that is blamed, because at the end of the day its all about Blizzard choosing to neglect communicating their changes to the fans, making it impossible to anticipate what is being changed and what is being kept. Listening to fans was not a mistake. Not communicating their goals and changing without notifying fans is their mistake.
