Have Disc, Won’t Travel

Hey all.
Is there anyway I could install the original Warcraft 3 that I own the discs for and have the registration key on my new laptop that doesn’t have a disc drive?
This is probably a simple question to most but I’ve been away from pc gaming for so long I have no clue and can’t find the answer.

Thanks for any help!

You can install from CDs using a USB connected portable CD/DVD player.

Otherwise you can try copying the installation across from another computer. One of the files should contain your CDKEY which is then used when starting the game.

There is also apparently a still working official download link for a legacy build of Warcraft III. This can be installed without needing a CD inserted, and will take your CD Key as normal. The CD Key may need to be updated by attaching it to your BattleNet 2.0 account first.

Indeed!

Mac:

This will install v1.27 (aka 1.27a) and, like DrSuperGood mentioned, it will require Battlenet linked CD keys to activate (the original printed CD keys won’t work). If you can find a v1.27b patch somewhere, that tends to be a community favorite.

I recommend saving the install files in case Bliz ever takes them down.
