Your solution requires to download a customkeys.txt file + Autokey for inventory.
My solution offers / requires to download the War3Preferences.txt file which lets you use the same hotkey layout for all units + inventory keys (without the need of an extra program). It’s an in-built feature added in one of the Reforged patches.

That’s the only difference afaik.

+1 detail:
If you use the war3preferences file with gridkey layout you have to use the same hotkey layout for all units/heroes / buildings. For example if Water Elemental is on position 1,2 and you assigned it to “W” all other spells that are on the same position have to use “W” as well (e.g. Far seer with Far Sight).
