I completed the first mission of the prologue but when I select the next mission (which is difficult as I am missing the cursor), it looks like it is loading the mission then goes straight to the defeat screen

This is currently a known issue that our developers are working to fix. You could try seeing if you can load the mission directly from the campaign mission select screen. Sadly if issues continue, we should have a hotfix for this out soon.

This issue has been present since last August.
Can you provide a better estimate?
Some have had success playing in offline mode to get around this.
