I frequently experience spikes in game that are making it hard to actually play. This issue is present immediately when starting a game in WC3. It is not a consistent issue (sometimes I don’t experience this at all) and seems to be primarily due to me being the host for a custom game. I don’t experience this same issue in other non-blizzard games I play and I’ve frequently talked with my ISP who assures me that none of their indications suggest I’m having network issues. I think this is an issue specific to Bnet and would appreciate it if I could get some help with troubleshooting this.
I saw in other threads to run a WinMTR. I followed this links instructions and used the two NA servers:

This was during a period of time where it was actually not as bad as it often is. I will try to run it again tomorrow evening when it gets bad.
Hey, ark! Thank you for including details and the WinMTR tests. The WinMTR test here is showing packet loss at the same peering partner.
This seems to be more of a routing problem which the ISP won’t check for typically. I’m curious, how long has this been going on? Have you tried an alternative connection or VPN to test?
Do you not experience any of the spikes when someone else is hosting the game?

The earliest time it happened that I’m 100% positive on would be March 28th 2020. But it’s happened infrequently - occasionally it will occur a few days in a row but never for as long as it’s been this past week. I think i’m at 9 days now of it happening every evening.
I’ve not used an alternative connection - I will look into this and try and complete the test. I do have NordVPN that I’ve attempted to use and it makes the issue worse from what I’ve experienced.
I haven’t done a lot of testing with someone else hosting the game, but it feels like it’s always worse with my host. Even when I don’t have major spiking occuring, my host at minimum seems to be about 75-85 ms. Sometimes I’ve seen as low as 60 ms from other hosts.
My ISP today apparently had a major upset with their system and is currently throttling my internet speed severely. I was hoping to run a WinMTR while experiencing the issue more fully, but I guess that will have to wait. I’ll try and go through the alternative connection and if that appears successful will run that down with my ISP as well.
If you’ve got any further things to try please let me know! I will update tomorrow or sooner if I can get any solution.
