Expected to Release by 12/31/2019?

Is this the actual date? That seems like ages away?

This your first game release /prepurchase? It’s the latest they can release it to meet technical deadline of 2019. They will update it when they are certain on date and it’s set. They do same thing with WoW expansions. Like saying “Summer 2018” and at first listing it September 31st or whatever last day of summer technically was, and then announcing and updating later.

Tl;dr it’s coming out before December 31st. Relax. You’ll know when we all know when they announce it.

By German Law which isn’t their law? Not that I wouldn’t want that.

But also there is nothing stopping them to release the multiplayer earlier than the campaigns or the campaigns in episodes.

I hope it’s not January. That’s way too short a timeframe.

Better to have it December 10th or so, give the devs as much time to actually, ya know, develop the game.

Nah, they already said they would be releasing BETA of the game in sometime early 2019, not full game…so dont expect full release until perhaps summer or fall of 2019. I would expect more towards the latter.

Not gonna be happy if we have to wait over a year for a graphics update and a few tweaks on an already completed game.

I can wait Warcraft 3 Reforged until 12/31/2019 but i hope the graphics will be better than Hots / SC2 / Dota2. My expectations is Warcraft 3 Reforged will be use highest engine when released on December 31, 2019 and it’s have so many new features in game like Clan ladder, level, ranking, clan daily quest for unlock skin unit or icon, and tournament like Clan War 1v1 / 2v2 / 3v3 / 4v4 / 5v5 / 6v6.

They are overhauling the whole campaign, making new voices, remastering cinematics, updating it to work with modern BattleNet and improving the netcode and they are vastly expanding the World Editor… So it’s quite a lot more than just “a graphics update and a few tweaks”.

I wish they would have waited longer to announce it then. Don’t see the point in new voice acting. Nothing wrong with the original version.

Well, they sell pre-orders in Germany too. So if they don’t want to be sued by their German customers they need to follow German law.

I think it is very likely, that it will be out before november.

I am kind of confused if they say the release date will be on 31st of December, 2019, does this really mean it will be available in a whole year away from now, or just after midnight of 2018, so technically it will be 2019. Huh :roll_eyes:

The 31st of December is just a placeholder, because they don’t know the exact release date yet. It’s just something to say, that it’s going to be sometime in 2019. So the release date now is “on or before December 31st 2019”.
