There’s a reason why dota 2 initially had a lot of WC3’s engine limitations incorporated such as orb effects not stacking. There’s also a reason why that stuff all got removed over time…

I wonder what kind of competitive-ness if ever: Surviving a Horde assassin in Stranglethorn? Owning the Alliance in Alterac Valley? Or making Liadrin say “Darkness cannot abide within the Light” 220383743 times in Stromgarde Warfront?
And who’s gonna balance and update Reforged DotA? I doubt Icefrog would. I don’t want Guinsoo since he practically killed and butchered DotA. Neichus maybe but I don’t know if he’s even still alive.
And no I don’t want those random chinese to be balancing and updating DotA in Reforged
This. Also, we’re not yet even sure if Reforged will also have quick casts and proper range indicators.

Maybe if Blizzard launches a new kind of Dota/AoS, just like the Warfronts in BfA, maybe it could get them some $$$
Dota has evolved and it’s a much better game than the WarCraft 3 map could ever be and let’s not talk about the skins and all the custom stuff added to Dota 2.
What you are forgetting is that Reforged is $30 USD.

You were correct in 2016. Not anymore. HotS slowed down in 2018, and put on hold in late 2018.

“On hold?” You don’t even play the game. They are still releasing large number of skins, mounts, events, all high quality. The only thing they reduced is number of heroes in 2019 - from 12 to 4. How many heroes Dota 2 released this year?

Dude, their events are objectively disgusting. Toys? Toys II? I’m not a boomer American citizen to wear diapers.
But my view is balanced - I hate all Dota2 cosmetics released after 2014. Too many particle effects.
Dota and its players has been and always will be trash for its role in spamming the game with pages of its nonsense mediocre custom games.
