This is what guts and destroys the cast of Warcraft, because MMOs are inherently incapable of taking the grand world-scale epic arcs of the Warcraft universe and making them revolve around compelling characters taking action.

This same area is where WC3 excelled.

WC3 is geopolitics. WoW is philosophy. WoW excels at philosophy. WoW barely needs personal drama or races or war. Just certain plot points and general vectors.
