Either you can’t join a game, you get a desync as the game starts, or you get dropped half way through a match. I honestly have hit the point where I just stare at the custom games screen not wanting to join a game because of the fear I’ll just get dropped, or half of the other players will. I kind of want to wait and see if blizzard will fix this mess but at the same time I don’t know if I can justify not refunding since I barely actually play the game, not due to desire but due to the actual issues within the game itself.

What maps do this? I know Green Circle TD, DBZTD, Farm TD, Finalfantasy RPG and Winter TD seem to all work in HD/SD mode. If you can’t start one of your favorite maps or desync try switching to Classic mode and retesting it. Not all maps desync most I’ve played other than really big RPGS don’t have issues. One of the maps people were saying it works in SD fine but not HD. Maybe try SD mode for maps you know have the issue? If you find yourself disconnecting from A lot of maps or the ones I’ve listed try chat: /ping see if it maybe latency related. If you know the map names you may wish to post them in the bug forums to help them out.
Try delete confguration & maps folder of warcraft 3 reforged in your Documents.(c:/users/you/documents/Warcraft III). l’m dunno why this helped me fix desyncs.
Otherwise wait until “blues” do something on backend, might be it happened with me too in moment when l messed with files.
For my case was map “Troll & Elves” very problematic.

What folders specifically? “Configurations” and “Maps”? I can only find “Maps” (I’m on Mac though)
Although deleting that would just result in me having to download all my custom game maps again, thus causing the problem to happen again?
Do you mean downloading a specific map and having it saved in your map folder (such as “Troll & Elves”) are causing me to desync in other maps?
Reseting my FPS to default settings fixed the problems I have experienced with maps such as Dota and Footmen Frenzy.
Its the single most annoying thing ever. Custom maps are literally unplayable, because you either get desynced or dropped.
I don’t know about you, but, uh, EVERY MAP. Bigger maps have lag issues, but Farm TD can have several desyncs just loading in as well. Same with Green Circle. It’s not a map issue, it is a server issue.
It’s because of bad developers. Custom Castle Defense never had desyncs in Classic Wc3 but now it’s inevitable. Several people desync every single game in refurbished. This game is a Scam and I suggest anyone reading this get a Refund. I’m simply waiting to see how bad the next patch is then I’m Refunding, my mind is made up. I have AoE2 DE to play which is an amazing RTS made with love and hard work. I’m also looking forward to Command and Conquer Remastered.
activision/blizzard is a company with no integrity. They’re ruining the gaming industry and only the ignorant support them, which in turn they take advantage of. Their community is toxic and full of abusers/ragers. They’re making the world a worse place
