Blizzard's "Frat Boy" Culture

Looks like we know what the Blizzard employees were doing rather than developing their games. . .

As far as I am aware it is just an accusation that have gone to court. Until a verdict is reached in court it might just be accusations. As such it is too early to jump to conclusions whether a party is guilty or not.

As always, the conclusion will be decided in court, as it should be. The issue here, is this isn’t just some person making an accusation. This was a 2 year investigation done by the state of California. Someone is definitely gonna get punished.

Well, if the company would just stay the hell away from bs politics, we would be looking at “some dumb people inside Blizzard” instead of “all of Blizzard” as the culprit… Reaping the whirlwinds, my dear friends…

I don’t think this is a killing blow. But it’s close. Regardless, if the accusations are true or not. People do indeed believe them. Content creators have made it clear that they do indeed believe them. There word spreads wide. I believe them. Protests are starting up. FF14 is stealing unhappy WOW players. Blizzard HAS to nail it with Diablo 4! But I doubt they will. That will then be the killing blow.

Just think about something:
Before reforged, this was ok for everyone, right? Even the accusers…
This so called “frat culture” is only bad if you already have personal issues, right? Otherwise is all fun and stuff.
Spreading false accusations is quite easy, right? Today’s Internet is all about this…

So, instead of joining the farce, let’s focus on the real problem:
The quality of their products. That can be easily proven…

Hmm… I’m speechless.

One wrong view of this comment and people thinks harassment is okay… Unless this is what you’re actually implying. Guess Blizzard was correct in their quote. Reforge was a mistake, but people still like them enough to believe or not care.

“I’ll attract the enemy with my human call: Harassment! Harassment!”^^

IF and WHEN what they said that happened is proven, THEN we’ll get there and purge 'em all. Until then, let’s keep this place sane…

Blizzard’s “Warcraft Reforged No Patch” Culture

OP sounds mad that he didn’t get invited to parties with the red cups and all. I bet one of the Devs at the party be chugging down dat brew like a panda while everyone screaming “CHUG CHUG CHUG”

Ok let’s break this down. I don’t believe harassment and inequality is right and will always need to be abolished and destroyed down to the core, However, there is approximately 4000 employees working at Blizzard. Out of that, hundreds and hundreds of that number would be young boisterous group of people that would be bound to have that frat culture of partying, socialising, clubbing and dating life-style. It’s bound to happen. In my work-places of hundreds and hundreds of people, some people PARTY with 20 other co-workers consistently, or catch up with drinks. Obviously they keep out of trouble. I mean take a look at Blizzard’s company. It’s a lenient company that hosts PARTIES, conventions, cos-plays, easter-eggs and more!

What I’m trying to say is, Blizzard do what they can to promote equality in their games, work-places and woke-culture. At the end of the day, some fish will go through the net and some bad eggs will arise from it. Blizzard are not a hive mind where a group of people do this and that, then all of suddenly it represents the entirety of Blizzard. Again as I stated in a previous post, innocent until proven guilty. There’s a reason why for that, otherwise it will be a witch hunt and a burning at the stake without a proper trial. Lies and defamation can create delusions, twist or destroy a person or company, let alone their image, when that’s not who they’re really are or what they’re about! At this stage, some of the allegations could be based on hear-say.

I believe there could be some cases here and there, and I hope the victims get the justice and peace they’re looking for, but also somethings could be taken out of context. Some of them sounds like the case of some disgruntled employees being laid-off in the group. For example, One of the stories is a co-worker coming into work drunk? Perhaps that co-worker parties the night before and is hung-over with 0% alcohol in his blood-stream, but the disgruntled employee be like “he’s drunk” or “he shouldn’t be coming to work at all like this” despite being legally fine and capable. Another one is Developers play-testing their games and enjoying it with the community and the disgruntled employee’s like “omg they’re playing games again. That’s all they ever do”. Another story is they accuse giving more women work-load, yet the margin size of men working is huge. You’re bound to get a few slouches, but I believe the men are just as hard-working.

Let’s say the court goes through and finds Blizzard guilty. Is everyone guilty at Blizzard? Or a few bad eggs? The few bad eggs will be dealt with if they’re currently working at Blizzord and as for the victims, I hope they do get the compensation, apology and justice they’ve been yearning for.

Your honour, I believe Blizzard is always doing their best to hold up the community standards as well as in their work-place. That enthusiasm might not always show in HOTS and WC 3 Reforged, but at the end of the day, they’re always trying to promote equality and woke-culture in their company and games. I rest my case. Thank you, your honor.

GET WOKE OR STAY BROKE  :raised_hands: :fire: :100: :weary: :ok_hand: :tornado:

Take some time to read that the accusation is made by the STATE of California after 2 years of investigation. And official Blizzard people have already come out to say one way or another that they are right.

Not because of an angry employee who was fired from her.

Also keep in mind that they accuse Blizzard that the managers are macho, of doing nothing and of exposing the victim. Things that don’t go hand in hand with “try and fail.”

I’m not mad at all in terms of the partying. I am only mad that this type of culture looks bad when you make horse shlt games on top of it. As others have said, this was an investigation done by the state of California, not some disgruntled employee that left on bad terms. I hate wokeism as much as the next person. Everyone should get their day in court, but either way it seems pretty obvious Activision/Blizzard doesn’t have their priorities straight.

This is absurd. Be more specific about guilty people. Not everyone!

Yes Eddie, even guilty people should get a day in court. How else can you prove someone guilty?

Well you forgot to include the word guilty. Otherwise I would have thought you might want everyone to be in court just like the movie Minority Report

Amazing how people are defending this, there is no excuse for sexual harassment! I don’t care whether they are “young and boisterous”, it should not happen.

STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT.
