Atrocious Perfomance

Ryzen 7700X
Radeon 7800xt

The game runs at 16fps. Come on man.

Same problem here. Some maps run at 40-50 fps to me; I can cap those fps at 40 and use the program Lossless Scaling to triplicate the number.

The problem is in some maps it runs at 16-20 fps like you say. The lag spikes there are impossible to control.

Same here ;/

Everyone, like @captainJack has suggested in various different threads, try disabling your integrated graphics. War3R 2.0. switches to integrated graphics for some reason, and given recent abominable patches stifling perform due to inefficient code possibly suggested by GPT o1 game suffers when running on integrated GFx. After you’ve disabled integrated GFx it should just use dedicated GFx. It should fix the issue… Report back!

Hope it helps…

Blizzard, please fix the FPS issue.

Is known issue that on AMD performance is degraded compared to a similar Intel.
For the moment I do not think they will fix AMD issue, if you change config go Intel.

There have been a few Intel processors affected as well, but in general you are correct - if you want to play WC3R with decent FPS nad no spikes, you are better off going for Intel CPU and hope for the best.

Inter also have this issue, the FPS low in any custom maps, waiting new patch too

If you go to Device Manager, Display Adapters, right click your device that isn’t your gpu (integrated cpu graphics) and disable that, it will fix the 16fps issue.

BUT the game will likely start at 144+ fps, then rapidly fall to around 30 fps, with lag spikes and stutters along the way.

There is no fix for this. Refund.

This CPU has integrated graphics. If you’re getting 16 FPS, the game is trying to use your integrated graphics. Disable them to fix this problem.

You have a different problem. FPS issues can be caused by many things, but in this case, with the CPU the OP listed and the performance that’s far worse than yours, the solution for them is clear. Their solution will most likely not work for you as your performance is not nearly as bad and most likely isn’t integrated graphics.

Nonsense. And it’s not guaranteed they will have “lag spikes” and “stutters.” I have none. Many other people with AMD CPUs have none. As I’ve told you before, there a million different reasons for FPS problems, and on top of that the game performs differently literally every time it’s updated, regardless of the changes made. There are a number of fixes available, some will help some users and others will help others. Yes, there are some cases where there’s just nothing you can do, but again, it’s not a guarantee so really the smart thing to do is let them try the suggestions given and THEN concede defeat if they don’t work.

There is no fix, we need to wait for blizzard to wake up

Guys, please use your flag to report CaptainJack answers, he troll everyone saying its our own fault on every topic for having bad fps and using amd ryzen cpu XDDDD

Giving honest responses to statements is not trolling, sorry to disappoint you. Calling on others to report someone who hasn’t broken any rule and therefore baiting a response from me, however, most certainly IS trolling.

You can not speak for anyone other than yourself. Just because a solution or workaround doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else, as everyone’s circumstances are different.
