StarCraft crashes before even opening

Game doesn’t start at all. Tried running as administrator, no luck. My PC runs in Windows 10, and attempted to reinstall, no luck.

Try running on compatibility mode: Windows XP Service Pack 3. If this does not work it might help to reinstall the game in a different filepath; one that isn’t the Program Files folder.

Hey there RaidenRaiden,

I looked up that crash and think One Drive is causing a problem here. Specifically that program can sync folders. When it does that though, it can block games from accessing files in the folders. Starcraft stores information in these folders, so if it can’t access them, the game will just crash.

What you’ll want to do is make sure the Starcraft folder is not being synced. Microsoft has information with pictures to do this here: Choose which OneDrive folders to sync to your computer - Microsoft Support

Note that excluding the Starcraft folder may be enough, but doing the whole Documents folder may be needed.
