I’ve been having trouble loading the episode 5 and 6 missions. Every time I try, the game dies and gives me an error message and code. I’m using a laptop with Win10. Is anyone else having this problem or am I the only one?

Since you’re describing the problem as happening only with episodes 5 and 6, seems to me like you’re trying to launch the maps via the vanilla SCR rather than modded .exe file provided in the main release download. The campaign cannot be played without that.
Is the main release download on the “Star Edit. net” forums by any chance? Since that’s I found the DL link. There doesn’t seem to be an .exe file you mentioned.
Yes, it is there.
It should be located in the core directory, the same place where readme is located, which you should have red by the way.
It’s also possible anti-virus software has deleted it on unpacking, since the anti viruses tend to not like Remastered mods.
