I can't start the game

I already tried to open the game on another computer and if it works but on my laptop where I want to play it does not open the program , The program stays in the launcher and says game started and then does not open

Is the update repaired yet? Still cant see the play button.

So theres no tech support for Broodwars now? Is the game over with now?

Hey there,

What happens when you try clicking the Play button in the Battle.net app? Does it give you an error message?

If you see the Starcraft page in the Battle.net app but the Play/Install button doesn’t show up, try reinstalling the Battle.net app:

  1. In Windows 10 go to Start → Settings
  2. Click on Apps
  3. Uninstall the Battle.net app
  4. Press Windows key + R
  5. Type the following into the Run window and hit Enter: %APPDATA%
  6. Delete the Battle.net and Blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 with %LOCALAPPDATA% and %PROGRAMDATA%
  8. Empty the recycle bin.

Now reinstall the Battle.net app: Battle.net App – Blizzard Entertainment

It wont stop the scanning-updating phase & continues to repeat it perpetually. The play button doesnt even come up. Im on Win 7 Pro.
