Just curious. Do not need a desktop but might consider buying it if playing on desktop can help reduce the lag I am experiencing. Not sure I should define this as lag, but so many of my games are as if they are on ‘faster’ not ‘fastest’. Does anyone know if playing on laptop causes this problem or not?

If online this is most likely related to latency (TR in game). Due to peer to peer connection type little can be done for lag for players from different regions, only real thing that could help is using an ethernet cable. Though lag is still something you will come across.
Who in the world would have known what a laptop would do? I look at it like channel Brood War En-2 when I am entering the room
