everytime I play theres a zone in the middle right of the screen where I cant click; the cursor goes from the in game green cursor to a regular white cursor and I cant select units buildings or send commands to that area, I have to adjust the screen below or above the area I want to select in order to be able to do anything there, makes some maps very difficult to play on

This is related to a display issue such as an overlay conflict. I would recommend to troubleshoot disabling background applications. Steps on how to do this can be found Here.
