Apparently the CV stats are being inflated, too. The number of pneumonia deaths has dropped to a record low in the past 5 years. It seems like they are counting any death with symptoms similar to CV as CV and anyone who died with CV is attributed to CV (even if that person died from cancer etc). It also appears that the reason it’s so contagious is because a large portion of people who get it have no symptoms which means the fatality rate is likely hugely inflated. It likely has a lower fatality rate than the flu, but is much more virulent. It’s also likely that CV has hit a much larger portion of the population than estimated (because some people don’t even notice they have it).
They need to do some proper randomized sampling to test just how many people have the virus without knowing about it.
