You can help scientists to find cure against Coronavirus

It is called shared computing, you can donate you computing power to scientists to help find a cure against Coronavirus. It is supposedly running on 1.5 exaflops, which is more than top 100 supercomputers ever existed combined. Number of users increased 4 times, because coronavirus. And it is much cheaper

It is called shared computing. Running super computer is very expensive, shared computing is much much cheaper and gives relative power.

Just make sure you have strong enough cooling, or reduce number of slots to decrease cpu usage. And do a stress test to see, if your cooling is strong enough. To not damage your computer. You can configure it either to be used when your computer is idle, or when you work.

You can either crunch on gpu, or cpu. But gpu is better. I turned off hardware acceleration everywhere and i can watch tv shows on 60 fps without problems, while having 92-97% gpu usage from crunching.

Want my raspberry pi?

Every device counts

I would rather dedicate 100% of my computing power to complaining about Terran.

I have an OrangePi cloud. The only thing arm SBCs are good for is low energy consumption tasks like mass file storage and security camera recording. OrangePi absolutely trounces raspberry pi though. They have a full range of models ranging from a 1G micro to what is basically a full phone board (with the screen) and they are cheaper across the board.

How about they simply start reporting stated known cures on the media or simply recommending taking anti virals? Nah… let’s try to find more cures that no one will ever give you to take, cause they want you to die to begin with - or at least live in fear.

Gotta let them push the agendas first bro. Until then, Protoss is as likely to be balanced (made viable) in this game. Aka, don’t hold your breath.

But a man took fish tank cleaner and DIED!

Lol. I heard earlier today that his wife actually had a history of trying to kill him. People would rather report on people dying from “guzzling gasoline” because they got that mixed up with the cure than to recommend a person take vitamins or w/e else.

Don’t people ever get tired of lying and being lame? Everyone is getting punked so hard. Losing any dignity they had. Feel bad. They turning everyone into a Toss player. Everyone taking Ls.

Apparently the CV stats are being inflated, too. The number of pneumonia deaths has dropped to a record low in the past 5 years. It seems like they are counting any death with symptoms similar to CV as CV and anyone who died with CV is attributed to CV (even if that person died from cancer etc). It also appears that the reason it’s so contagious is because a large portion of people who get it have no symptoms which means the fatality rate is likely hugely inflated. It likely has a lower fatality rate than the flu, but is much more virulent. It’s also likely that CV has hit a much larger portion of the population than estimated (because some people don’t even notice they have it).

They need to do some proper randomized sampling to test just how many people have the virus without knowing about it.

I wouldn’t be surprised, at all, if I had it months ago, as well as most other people. It’s like if I want to burn a house down to get rid of evidence of w/e. I start to burn the house down and then 4 hours later I call to report a fire.

Brah… I don’t know why the house burned down or why the fire grew so much. I mean, I did my part. I called the fire department. See, I genuinely cared and totally wasn’t apart of any scheme…

Even a week ago, people from my area couldn’t get tested for the virus even if they had ALL of the symptoms. It’s so freaking rigged and dumb. So, even if someone had the virus, no one would tell them they had it, so basically everyone was given a pass to “go do w/e you want. Go have some parties.”

They say like they don’t even do anything for you if you test positive, anyways. Like they give you antibiotics (possibly the worst thing you could ever take, as I learned first hand). Then, if your condition is deemed critical, they put you on a ventilator. But, they’re now saying most of these guys have been getting killed by the ventilator themselves. They need to be reprogrammed to stop from killing people…

Everything about everything is so pathetic. I just wonder when the end game of this play/artificial thing will be here. This virus is at least going to raise the bar for pandemic movies… the virus is going to have to spawn black holes or something. GL with writing one of those now.

I know someone who is on immune suppressants due to asthma who came down with a horrible cold. She was sent home worrying it was CV. She goes to the doc and he says “Nope! If you got CV, you’d be dead no matter what we did!”. Didn’t even bother to test her and sent her home to quarantine until this whole thing blows over.

I know yet another person who came down with symptoms. She was sent into quarantine. 8 days later and her tests results still aren’t back. Even if they do come back, there’s a chance of a false positive and a false negative - you really need 2 to be sure but that’s definitely not going to happen!

Those machines aren’t perfect. A lot of people don’t understand this isn’t Star Trek. They aren’t as advanced as they think.

In late Jan/early Feb, my lungs got messed up. It was like carrying around weights. I couldn’t stand up for long. Think carrying around a grocery bag with goods. Eventually, your arms get tired and it feels like 100 pounds. Even now, they feel scarred.

My family, thanks to my dad, have been more likely than anyone else to come in contact with it. We’ve all had issues. My mom is still sick from w/e and coughing like crazy.

To me, the problem isn’t as much the fire, but the lack of wanting to talk about options to put out the fire. They’d rather harm the economy/kill it than remind you what we know puts out fires.

They say doctors are the third leading cause of deaths in the US. I can’t watch TV for 30 minutes without watching an AD play on TV talking about I have the right to sue someone cause I took their “x causing” medicine.

Either the virus is serious and Trump’s mantra of “what do you have to lose” is correct or it’s simply the flu 2.0.

I just needed a host for my discord bots

I doubt the doc would say that about asthma. I know people with severe asthma and they aren’t at the highest risk assuming they’re are generally healthy otherwise.

I know younger cancer patients who literally have cancer of the IMMUNE SYSTEM who aren’t at that much of a risk. They still mostly worry about more significant bacteria/viruses/infections.

The coronavirus plays a similar part as the flu. Mostly goes after elderly. Once in a blue moon its fatal to severely immunocompromised individuals, just like the flu.

The difference is that CV is much closer to severe acute respiratory syndrome than the flu. It also seems that it can cause inflammation in the heart, something that SARS couldn’t do. That’s why so many people end up on ventilators regardless of age. 20% of the hospital cases are the 25-45 age block.

I don’t disagree with this. However, the end game is generally the same. Easy recoveries in the vast majority of cases.

It’s a virus that attacks the lungs more than the flu for sure.

More people regardless of age do end up on ventilators but anyone who isn’t elderly was mostly severely, severely immunocompromised in some way.

When the news says “a healthy 14 year old boy dies from coronavirus”…What is really happening is that “a 14 year old boy who had UNDIAGNOSED health issues ends up passing away after contracting coronavirus”.

40-45 isn’t exactly the epitome of youth. I would prefer a 25-35 number.

It really goes to show how complex a proper analysis can be. What % of deaths actually happened due to CV and what percentage were going to die anyway and what percentage were aggravated by a condition of some sort (which may be known or unknown). What percentage of the cases are being attributed to CV when it was actually a different illness. Etc.

My theory is that the virus doesn’t affect most people hardly at all and that the infection rates are much higher than models show. The stats about # of deaths are hugely inflated due to underestimating the number of total cases (due to under-representation of those without symptoms) and mistaking all deaths as CV (when it could be another illness, a pre-existing condition, or a combination).

The media runs with models that are frankly premature and are more speculation than fact, and are heavily biased towards worst-case scenarios because that’s how the media makes money (drumming up drama to raise their viewership numbers).

Look at what they did with trump is a Russian asset. Made so much noise over a completely fictitious crime that it resulted in 3 investigations all of which only proved the obvious truth that anyone outside of the media could see. The irony is that more rules were broken and norms violated and crimes committed in the process of investigating the POTUS. They’re doing the same thing here. Sooner or later people need to realize that this is just what the media does. It is what the media is.

Isn’t that the sad truth. “But he’s not apart of the boys club we’re in.” If you’re in a clique and you’re above middle school age, time to put down the comic books and barbie dolls.

If someone elderly has stage 4 cancer is on their deathbed, and they contract the flu, and die, is it because of cancer or the flu?

Statistics in this regard have always been…strange…in medicine.

The models of confirmed cases are atronomically low compared to actual.

So who really gets the msot tests? The people that are elderly or have critical conditions.

So of our sample size, we are mostly testing those already in danger, and of those in danger, 1-2% pass away.

Of normal population, we are talking about a number significantly less than 1%.

If coronavirus was expected to kill 1% of people, then we would be looking at a number over 3.3 million in deaths, which may happen over a long period of time, but not anytime soon.

350k in USA not confirmed, which those confirmed cases were generally tested for those of serious/elderly conditions.

10k current deaths.

It’s not astronimcal.

I generally don’t listen to the media, I watch LIVE graphs on YouTube in the background that represent statistics from WHO, etc. and make up my opinions there.

Some anecdotal evidence too.

Yea, media hates current administration, tell me something new.

The WHO was parroting the CPC, saying CV wasn’t transmittable from human to human. Wonder why? The director of the WHO was a ranking member of the communist party from his country of origin. I believe it was the People’s Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Then there is the fact that tailand has accused the WHO of ignoring them (likely to appease china). I would take anything the WHO says and drop it right into the dumpster.
