People play what they like. If you check out Reynor he’s actually one of the best Terran and Protoss players in the world.
In other words, pros can play whichever race they want to, they simply choose the one they like the most be it for the aesthetics, the gameplay or just they feel better with that race.
All of the mechanics from any race essentially translate to the other races 1:1 there’s some differences of course but the soul of it all remains the same.
